This child has had a cough and congestion since he started the end of february. If you read my other posts, he started with the flu....now hes back, he seems a little better, but still has cough. Dr note said his chest his clear.

Well today he started with a running nose, has been sneezing and is still coughing. (a cold has been going around now, i have it, another child brought it last week...at the tail end of healing from the flu...)

so anyway...he has had a cough since the end of february....how long is too long for a cough for a child? 1 year old.

Our pedi says it's normal for a cough to linger 2-3 weeks as long as it doesn't get worse.

Your DCB could have picked up another bug that has a cough which is why he's coughing for so long or it could be post nasal drip which tickles the throat and can make kids cough but isn't contagious and can sound wet. That's what I would assume if his chest is clear.
