Default Filing Separate

We are considering filing married seperate this year to help with my student loan payments on IBR. I have graduate student loans so I will be paying a very long time. If the home is in my husband's name who makes more, how due daycare expenses work? I don't make very much income. We are trying to look at the large picture to see if it would help or hurt.

You can still claim all the same business expenses associated with your home, even if you file separately and even if your name is not on the mortgage loan.
