This may sound silly because I can and do cook but, do you just make these like a grilled cheese? Panini press? I have no idea and I may make them for lunch. Thanks!

We make in the oven on a cookie sheet. Bread,1/2 slice cheese, ham, then another 1/2 slice of cheese then bread on top. Put another cookie sheet flat side down on top of all the sandwiches to make a "press"
We don't use any butter, they still brown up. 425 for about 15 min or until brown.

I make mine on the griddle with cooking spray, just like grilled cheese. Easy Peasy.

You can do it with tuna too for a tuna melt. One of the only ways I eat tuna.

None of the kids wanted one so I made one just for me and then my little son said "more grilled cheese mom" so I had to make more for him! It was yummy! Thanks!

I have done just like grilled cheese or I have used refrigerator biscuits, baked them up, pulled them out, halved quickly, placed ham ( or turkey) & cheese in each, closed the top and placed them back in the oven for a few minutes.

I don't buy traditional frefridgerator biscuits anymore but have used a brand called immaculate ( I think) that has no GMO's, trans fats ,etc.

In college, We put cheese and ham on one slice of bread cover that with 2nd slice of bread then
IRONed it using the hottest setting we would cover it with a clean sheet of paper, does that count... We did not go to bed hungry

Yes, same Iron we used for wrinkled clothes.

We make it just like grilled cheese. We have used chicken and turkey also, always a hit around here. I think I am going to try the cookie sheet method in the oven next time.
