Experiences? How long does kid stay home? Do they? Can you get it again? How can you keep it away after everyone has it? Will it keep circulating if they don't stay home? Confused. Thanks, also, if there are other threads on this, point them out to me please. I tried the search.

Thanks for the info. Anyone experienced it in their daycare?

yes, we had it here a few weeks ago. By the time we noticed what was going on we were all already exposed. It was pretty quick and we had lots of different symptoms showing - some had the mysterious rash on their bums, some had the fevers, a few had the sores in their mouths, and one had the sores on his feet. We excluded fevers and like I said by the time we noticed what was going on they had all been exposed.
I had 1 child with it in July. She was gone for vacation and they caught it the day before she was to come back. Since no one else here had been exposed, I had her keep her out until all sores were done oozing. She was out a week.

I've had one family that had it a couple of times - I assume the kids must be carriers of some sort? It never spread to anyone else. I did a very thorough cleaning and disinfecting of everything, and the kids stayed home for several days after it was diagnosed.
