How do other providers handle breastfeeding their own child in front of DCK?

This has been discussed before but for me I simply did what I would do normally. Two of the babies had been nursed themselves and DCMs and I would often nurse and chat on the couch if time allowed for it. But the 3-4yr olds I watched didn't seem to mind or care?

i nurse whenever or where ever, discreetly but not with a cover. The kids never care or ask what is going on. I don't "ask for permission" from the daycare parents, I just feed my baby and thats that.

I nursed whenever I needed to. Usually but not always with a cover but never exposed. All parents knew I would be nursing and were fine with it.

I called it "cuddle time" with ds and just covered with strategically placed blankets. Ds got used to it and expected me to cover him with a blanket every time or else he would try to cover himself. The kids just went about their business and never commented on it. They just thought ds was sleepy or crabby. It was never an issue with the parents either.

I have a light blanket poncho thing that I covered with and discreetly nursed. I never really mentioned it to the parents but they all kind of knew because their children mentioned it. I nursed wherever (except on walks....I would do it beforehand). The only problem I had was when I would expect a parent to come at a certain time and my dd always wanted to nurse a couple of minutes before that time, so I would hold her off and it never failed that the parent would be late.

This was me exactly. I nursed both my younger DS's after I started a daycare. I never said anything to the DCPs. It was assumed they knew this would be the course of action, and they did choose an in-home daycare with a young mother for a provider. I always used a cover, and the kids never paid any more attention than they did if I were bottle-feeding a dcbaby. I tried to not be nursing if I was waiting for a drop-off or pick-up, but that was my own modesty/privacy thing.

I let them know that we are a very pro breastfeeding place. They will be seeing my breasts at some point, as will their kids. I tell them this during interview. I make no effort to cover up, and neither do the moms here. All my dcks have been breastfed, and many until toddler/preschoolhood. I nurse my 3 year old still. I try and get a little more discreet around the dads, and not flop out or anything, but just so they're not uncomfortable, because I don't deal with the dads as much as the moms usually.
The older kids would ask if so and so is having milk and then when I said yes, they'd toddle off. That's about it. Moms nurse here at pickup and drop off, and we chat.

I can nurse anywhere and feel fine but I DO feel uncomfortable nursing in front of clients. Maybe it's because I like to look professional and it is hard to feel professional with a baby on my boob?
I use a cover and they don't see a thing. I do the same thing when it's just the kids around. They think she sleeps under the nursing cover.

I just nursed, like another poster, the parents who signed on new I had an infant and it's pretty much assumed that mom will nurse here. I did make sure dd was "topped off" before drop offs and pick ups" so I could greet dck's or talk to dcp's, but I would do that with a bottle fed infant as well.

The kids didn't seem to care, though the girls would pretend to nurse their dolls.

I nurse wherever, whenever. the kids don't even care, or even notice. When they ask, I simply say the baby is hungry, and this is how some mommies feed their babies. Its a non-issue at my house.
