So this morning the county evac sirens start going off. 
I take this seriously as we have major rail traffic thru town and also live about 9 miles from a nuclear power plant. I grab my go bag, emergency evac book and emergency kid info. And wait for further instructions from local and state police. Turn my emergency radio on...nada...hmmmm...ok soooo two hrs later I still hear nothing!!! WTH??? So even tho it says don't call I call the county evac number and find out it was a mistake!! HUH???? 
these kind of mistakes shouldn't happen!! Now that my heart rate has descended from 200!! Sorry had to get it out!

wow what a scary situation for all...... Glad it was nothing and at least you got a little bit of practice out of it......

Sorry that happened and thank goodness it was a mistake.
Also like Daycare said.....got some good practice out of it.
I'd document that as a completed monthly drill.

You are both right about the practice part and thanks for the reminder that it can be a documented drill! Woohoo! At least I kept my cool and actually glad for the practice!
