Daycare and Taxes>Can I Claim Car Incident Involving DC Child On Taxes?
Unregistered 09:39 AM 09-16-2017
One of my daycare children opened up the car door after I had already put him in and door dinged the car beside us. I hadn't buckled him in, because I had the baby in my hand and was going around to the other side to put him in when it happened. The guy took it to his repair got and got a quote and we settled it that way. It ended up being $285. Can I claim this on my taxes? I paid with a money order so I could keep track of it.

You could only claim this expense if you use the actual expenses method for claiming car expenses.
