That is soooo cool! It's so rare they are born in the caul! That is amazing! I had both of my babies at hospitals but both naturally and drug free and with my son my water hadn't broke and I was at 9cm and they said they needed to break it, I had no idea at the time that they really don't have to break it!

Thy did that with my first too. Was 10 cm & pushing & they broke the waters.

Is 7lb 1 0z really that chubby? just curious. i guess my kids were giants at 9+ lbs. 7 lbs sounds healthy but petite.....you will get lots of use out of those newborn sizes! congrats OP

I would say 7 is pretty average.

I was thinking the same. My biggest was 9lbs 13oz. and in the nursery looked like Gulliver in the land of the little people.
