I'm looking for a new table & chairs for my daycare. The last ones I had were terrible and ended up breaking. I'm looking for sturdy, good quality furniture, and I'm willing to pay more for it if they'll last me a long time.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

www.lakeshorelearning.com type heavy duty tables and then heavy duty chairs in their search engine on the top right. Then you might want to check out their other products. I absolutely love their store! If I could, I'd buy just about everything they sell!!
Their Heavy Duty tables and chairs are AWESOME!! They have a lifetime warranty and are unbelievably sturdy. I am 240 pounds and have stood in the middle of the table and in the chairs, using them as step stools to hang things from the ceiling, many times! Make sure you get their Heavy Duty brand and it will last you forever!

I really liked the heavy duty Lakeshore tables we had at the centers where I worked. The 30" × 60" tables seated 8 and were perfect because I could sit in the middle and reach everyone if I needed.
For my own child care room I'm not sure what size to get. If I'm fully enrolled my max will be 6 and I have limited space. But if I get the 30" × 48" table then I'm afraid there won't be enough room for me to sit with the kids. I figure the only time we'll be all together will be meals. Would it be inappropriate to pull another table over? Say if I had a small one in the dramatic play area?

I don't think so. I have the Costco Lifetime tables. They come in 4x2 and 2x2. I can combine them at meals so we can all sit together and it works out perfectly.

I use Sams Club folding banquet tables (4 foot size) and I LOVE them. They are very sturdy and easy to clean. They fold up when not in use. But my favorite thing is they can be at kid level, dining level for adults or counter height.
I use them mostly at low level for my daycare. But I have used them for family functions at the dining height and I have used them in yard sales at the counter height.
One of the best and most useful purchases I have ever made. Over ten years old and they look like the day I bought them.
They might not be pretty colors, but they work beautifully for me!
