I probably gross 150 a day but my net is no where near that

Eta: my children take 3 spots, so a third of my dcks are free loaders

On average, 38 hugs, 47 kisses (some boogery), and the undying gratitude of a dozen parents.

Monetarily, it appears to vary greatly by area. Also I have noticed that most providers only talk about their gross, not their net. HUGE difference.

I make children smile,
I make friends with a future doctor or lawyer or maybe even president ......

I make kids understand patience, that love is blind, acceptance, to not judge and to overcome.

I make up silly songs, some times while wearing silly clothes

I make 247 home cooked meals every week and enjoy every last second of it.

I make friendships that last a life time

I make the impossible, possible and I do it every day with a smile in my face.

Do I make money, sure, but no one would believe me if I told them the hours I worked, money I pocketed and that I get up and do it again every single day.

You make what your worth and what you give.

I make about $225/day right now. GROSS. Take taxes and expenses out and it's nowhere near that.

I just closed my daycare but my NET per day was $120. GROSS was $162 per day.
I worked 10.5 hours a day not including trips to the store in the evening.
ETA: this does not include the food program

I make about $220 per day GROSS. This does not include any expenses. It also includes an average CACFP reimbursement for the month. This is the max I could make because I am full with 8 kids. At times I make less depending on how my ratios work out.

Per day: (12 kids)
Gross: 380
Net: 240
Per week: 1200
Hours I work: 55

So it seems I net approx. $22 an hour. But the luxury of having my own business and not having a boss = priceless! Being around happy, sweet smiles all day is a fringe benefit. Wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.

I make enough to put food on the table for my family, that's really all I care about. My minimum "needed" may be very different than someone elses as all of our circumstances are different.

If you are talking about the true monetary amounts I think from being here I have seen people who make $20/per day/per child to people who make $60/per day/per child so that also would vary a whole lot. There are also states who allow a provider to have 3 kids and states that allow a provider to have 12.

Enough to make me realize this is where I need to be for my family and myself.
