is 'extra sensitive' this week. (dcd's words)

He is not extra sensitive- he is obviously sleep deprived and being a total monster. Screeching when he is even redirected, told no, is stopped from taking a toy, another child has a toy he might want, he can't put his plate on his head, etc.

Dcm just sent me a text intended for someone else (husband) saying

"I don't know what's going on at daycare this week but he is obviously miserable (at daycare). I dropped him off and he hit me in the car."

I have seen him close-fist PUNCH his mother 3x this week and she is still pretending it's ONLY me and ONLY here.

Good responses to this text?

Dcb is not miserable here. He's usually fine, but according to dcd he is being put to bed earlier because he's cranky and waking up earlier- yesterday was 4:45 AM.

He's also teething (see all 4 molars coming in), not eating/drinking as much. No cold symptoms, not even a runny nose. He did just get over a stomach bug last week, too.

I'd very pointedly ask her why she would drop him with you then when its obvious something is going on...

There must be something in the air lately as my normally "tough" kids are easy and my normally easy going kids are horrid. All of them

I would respond, "He also punched you three times this week in my entryway at pick up, I have noticed. Have you tried having a mother/son date recently? I have found that helpful when my own children were teething and/or coming off of an illness. Have a nice evening."

"should I consider this your two-week notice?" 😁
