I can't get the report to open? It says "There was an error processing a page. A drawing error occurred." Anyone know what this means or what I should do to fix it? The other reports work fine....

This is what it says in the HELP section of MMK:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem: "I'm getting a drawing error when trying to run the W-10 report. How can I fix this?"

Please follow these steps:

1. Go into your Kids program

2. Click on the "Utilities" button

3. Click on "Utilities" which is located at the top left of the screen

4. Click on "Use Alternate Report Viewer"

5. Click "Yes"

6. Click "OK"

The W-10 report should now work properly

Hopefully this helps you two out....

Ok let me ask you this... first you click on file, then utilities right? Then once I'm in utilities this is what I see (see attachment) what am I supposed to press there? I don't see the next step... "use alternate report viewer"

Ok next question... W-10 says "No payment records for the selected date range" but w-10 (blank) works... is the one I'm supposed to print?

I get to the W-10 form by going into accounting and billing. Once there I click "reports" from the top left area and when I do that it give me a drop down menu of reports I can view under the accounting category.

If I choose W-10 (blank) then I get a blank one but I choose the one that doesn't say (blank) after it.

I immediately get a drop down menu that asks for what year.

Then I hit 'next' and then it gives me a drop down list of parents.

I select what parent I want and the W-10 comes up filled out with the parent total as well as all my info.

Does that help?

You could use the blank one and simply fill it in since there isn't a ton of info you have to provide or if you go to irs.gov and use their blank form, you can enter your info BEFORE you print it out.

Yes it helps, but I'm wondering if maybe I've not entered something right for parent payments because it doesnt give me a drop down menu with parents names. It says select year, then next, but then I get my "No payment records for the selected date range" message.

Yeah, the only way I get the "No payment records for the selected date range" message is when I choose a year I didn't use MMK so I would assume it has to be something with how you entered the parent payment info....

Mine, too. It seems to pull it from your child/parent enrollment info and each parents logged payment history (invoices).

I like it VERY MUCH, though, because it prints exactly how much each parent paid you during the year to keep folks from attempting to claim absurd amounts.

SO I guess, where a I supposed to enter parent payment information? Maybe I'm putting it in the wrong place?

"Invoice your Parents", "unpaid invoices" then "record payments" is where I record mine.

What Catherder said. ^^^

You go into Accounting & Billing, on the next screen you choose "Bill Parents & Record Payments".

Then when you click that it gives you the option to create an invoice.

After you do all of that, you have to go back into the same area and "Record Payment".

Then after the payment has been recorded it will no longer be displayed as an 'unpaid invoice" and will only show up under the parent payment history (and the W-10 area in reports).

It took me a WHILE to figure it all out, but once you get the hang of it...... it is life altering.

I have a free filing cabinet, my tax stuff is already with my accountant AND my desk is clear for the first time in 10 years or more...
