For those that have families with more than one child in your care, do you charge late fees per child/day or you charge a flat rate for families or just your regular rate/day?
I'm curious to know what others charge. I have a $5 late fee and have a family that has more than one child in my care. I have always charged DCP $5 for both so not sure if I should charge for each or higher my late fee since I'm in the process of updating my policies.

Any????

I charge $10.00 per day late fee (including weekends beginning at noon on Saturday).

I only have one family with sibs and have not had to charge them but if I did it would still be the same $10.00 per day. As far as I see it, it's one payment from same family so I would only charge one late fee....I'm sure others may see things differently.

Late fee for payments I do 10 per day.. Whether its one kid or a family... If its late pickup fee I do $15 per 15 minutes they are late and that is due at pickup

I don't have problems with late payments, so for now I have a late payment fee of $5/day per family.
Late pickups, $1 per minute per child.

Late payment fee is $15 per day no matter how many in the family. Late pick up fee is $1 per minute per child.

This is my policy - I have only ever had to charge late fees once and it was a mess - the parent went so far as to call other providers to see if it is standard practice to be charged late fees over the weekend (payments are due Friday and they didn't pay until Tuesday).

I personally wouldn't double the fee for siblings - although it is two spots at your location and in all fairness you could.

Late payment $20.00 per-day/per-child

Late pick-up $1.00 per/min per-child.

No different if it was two separate families...IMO

Payment is due on or before Monday at 7:00 AM. I open at 8:00. If your account is not paid by 7:00 AM, your child cannot attend that day AND there is a $20.00 late fee (families pay online through childcarepay.com, so that $20.00 is added to their invoice. It would be $20.00 per family.). I've never had to enforce this.

Late pick-ups are charged $1.00/minute for each child. I implement this whether they have 1 child or 2 here and it must be paid before I accept their child into care the following day.
