Ratio Going back to Job After Being Laid Off? Covid-19

Im sure a lot of people got laid off due to covid. I know I did. I then decided to work in retail and was able to land a job at the mall. My old boss said I could come back when I got laid off. She said it would be in January. Anyways, she emailed me about 3 weeks into my new job and needed an answer right away. I wasn't sure if I would/wanted to go back. I was afraid because of this covid stuff. I decided to tell her no and that I committed to a job outside of the ece field. I didn't wanna say yes and get her hopes up if my answer had been no.

Now I want to go back. Do you think it's worth a shot asking her to go back? Its also worth noting I was the newest employee and that's probably why I got laid off. All because of covid and they weren't making payroll. Do you think I should go back or find another place?
