What are some of the things you cover?
Blackcat31 10:33 AM 05-01-2014
- Ages of children
- Number of children
- Hours needed
- Days needed
- Previous care attended or new to child care
- Parent employers
- How they heard about me
Then I ask them if they have any questions for me.
If it is something simple, I will answer....
If it's specifically about policies or practices, I encourage an interview so we can talk more about that.

Ages of children
Hours needed
How they heard about me (although they usually tell me)
What I offer
Prices (I'm not interviewing only to have someone say, "Ohhh ... too expensive)
Questions they may have

Thank you so much!
I should be having one of these types of interviews soon, and didn't want to go over too much, but didn't want to do too little either.

I dislike talking on the phone for long, so the only things I talk about on the phone are: hours, rates and location...if they're ok with all 3 of those, then I schedule an interview

Among those listed, I also ask where the parents work and where they live. Location is everything in this business! If I am no where near work or home or in between or along the way, chances are, I'm not a good choice for them.
