on a potty training kid. Not one but TWO came in them today! Really? In the cubbies they went and out came the backup shorts!

Also, crocs. I hate crocs.

I do ban overalls on potty training children, lol.

I also hate onesies on babies, lol but I can't really ban those.
The only reason DCK wear crocs here is during water play. DD has velcro water shoes though, no crocs for us.

Down here we call 'em hog washers. Pronounced "howg warshers"
. They should be banned from the planet in general.

Overalls can be tricky, but I love Crocs for the kids. 50% of mine come in flip flops or buckle sandals (not snaps, actual buckles) and have trouble in them while walking to/from the park and at the park. The little "thong" part of the flip flop hurts them, they get ant bites, or they slip off. The kids with the Crocs never have any issues. In fact, I plan to buy multiple sizes of Crocs for use while here (with socks) for the children who wear uncomfortable footwear.
I have asked that sneakers be sent, but they aren't.

I have never been a fan of crocs at all. I think they are the dorkiest things I've ever seen anyone wear and I cannot believe that people actually leave the house wearing them.

That being said I have a kid who wears them here in the summer and I have to say I wish they all did. They are so much easier and less time consuming to get on and off and I can hose them off if they get sand in them and they won't still be wet by the time they go home or else track sand and junk inside. They also keep their feet pretty protected so they can run around in them.

So while I do think they are the most hideous things on the planet you could wear....My opinion of them has slightly grown..... slightly...

I hate excess clothing on children in general. I don't understand why parents do that. My nephew comes everyday dressed as if he's going to a holiday gathering. He gets stuff on his clothing all the time and if I know my SIL I'm sure I am cursed when she gets home and sees him but I don't care. I've offered her lots of my son's hand me downs and told her to take even a few of the worn play stuff because he's a boy and eventually he's going to be playing in the dirt like the rest of them. She doesn't believe it. She's training her son to be neat and proper...

I take the pants or short off my infants if it is warm enough and they just wear their onesies or t-shirts all day.

Maybe these crocs just don't fit right? Iono the SAME two dcb's in overalls are also the SAME two in crocs that keep falling off. Just walking, croc falls off. Forget the playground today 2yo dcb took them off and tried to stuff them in my bag! hahaha I bought a bunch of water shoes at garage sales for water play.

If they are worn all the time, the kids feet will naturally stretch them. So, while they might have been the right size at the time they were purchased they are probably slightly larger now.

We wear our mud boots here all year round. I grew tired quickly of asking for no sandels, open toed shoes, pretty princess shoes, etc.

Everyone supplies a pair of mud boots and we go with that. Never had a parent complain yet!

I do think crocs are convenient, if they stayed on! LOL!

That's like my dcb, it's 90*+ and he has on an undershirt, button up shirt, nice overalls, matching socks and crocs. Minus the shoes, and he looked like he was going to get pictures taken. Um, what? I stripped him to the undershirt, changed him into cotton shorts and crocs (no socks)

Yes, rain boots! We actually have a surgeon here that wears them into the operating room-his surgical pair. I gues they are much easier to get the blood/stuff on if it gets bad. It shocked me the first time to see them but it made total sense to me.

I dont mind overalls... I don't see to many kids wearing them anymore anyway.

What im getting tired of is the rompers for girls that they dont wear a tshirt under. Their little bee stings are always showing, they're even harder than overalls to get down in a hurry and I dont like that they have to get completely naked to use the bathroom

I never understood rompers! Now, maybe to slip over your swimsuit, but for daycare... hummm no!

I had a girl come in a "play" ballerina outfit.. with a tutu on non the less... she was 5yrs old and when she sat down, you saw all the to "china" and back again.. and she did not have any changes of clothing, since her momma never brought back replacements...

wonder what parents are thinking

Ok now I feel terrible. I used to send DS to daycare in overalls all the time. They're so dang cute! I haven't had a dck show up in overalls yet but I can see them being a major pita if still in diapers and especially if potty training. On behalf of clueless parents everywhere, sorry!

Not a fan of overalls either. One dcb comes in them sometimes, but they have the buttons on the bottom. Also, I am not a fan of rompers. My sister bought some for dd when she was 18months. They were huge pain, especially since she was in a diaper. A dcg had one yesterday. It was a pain to get it back on after she pottied.

I HATE onsies after 12months. When my 19month dcb comes with a onsie, I want to scream. I only put dd in shirts after 12months. My poor dd though, her daddy never wanted to button her onsies so they were always riding up on her tummy. He did hear about that from his mom a time or two.

Skinny jeans. I'd like 5 minutes with the person who gave approval to make skinny jeans in infant and toddler sizes. They don't go over diapers without a major struggle and they look silly with skin tight pants and that big puffy diaper butt. They destroy any hope of potty training and once they are trained, it just makes it hard for the kids.

I love onesies because I hate to see a baby's belly sticking out. I spend half my time pulling down t-shirts to cover bellies and backs. But that's my own personal opinion.

I don't have an opinion on shoes as long as they stay on when they walk or run. I may develop one this winter when we actually wear shoes more.

Oh boy, this is a pet peeve subject for me! But here goes!

I HATE skinny jeans for babies!!! I will probably ban them with the next infant I take on (don't have any right now). They are ridiculous and so difficult to get on over diapers.

I HATE overalls too! I, too, used to be the mom who'd send her child to daycare in them, but never while they were potty training! That's just a parent not thinking at all.

I also dislike flip flops; but I'm on the fence with them. For playgrounds, they are just unsafe. However, they are easy to get on and off. I used to have a DCM who sent her kids in flip flops in the winter, in the snow. That brings me to my TRUE pet peeve...

I HATE when parents send their children in clothes that are completely inappropriate for the season. I have had this time and time again. In winter, they come with no jacket. Or in summer, they come in long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Or shoes that are WAY too small. I could go on & on. I have slowly accumulated some of my own back up clothes & shoes & I almost have everything/every size I need. But it still just really bothers me!!
