I charge $25/day but have had a few ask about hourly..I have never charged anything different, yet I don't want to charge a full amount for 2 hours. Do you do drop in's and have a different rate for them seperate from your full time/part time?

IF I have the room for a drop in/if I want a drop in I charge $6.00/hour.

For full timers, my rate is $29 per day ($3.22 an hour).
For 3 day part-timers, my rate is $33.33 per day ($3.70 an hour).
For 2 day part-timers, my rate is $32.50 per day ($3.61 an hour).

I charge ever so slightly less than the daycare facility in our small community but have less hours. I am open 8-5, and they are open 6:30am-6:30pm.

I charge $35/day for full time. My drop-in rate is $50/day (8hrs max) or $8 hr per child. No sibling discount.

This hasn't happened but if I had someone who wanted more regular dropin, like a supply teacher, I might offer them Dropin at the part time rate.

See I'm so confused..lol Cause I only have 1 day that I can have a drop in and its a lady from church. She wants her little boy to get use to kids his age (all older siblings) and his is the same age as my son. I don't want to charge her an outrageous amount, but yet don't want to do it for free either. What would you charge for 1 day a week? Lets say 4 hrs a day?

I offer 3, 4 and 5 day weekly rates. I offer a daily rate for drop ins.

I also offer a half day rate but only for certain times.

For example my half day rate is $20. They can choose the A.M block which is 7:30-10:30 or the P.M. block which is 2:30 to 5:30. Half day blocks do NOT include lunch or rest time as those are the two hardest parts of the day when it comes to a drop in kid.

If they want to come over lunch and/or rest time then they pay the full day drop in rate.

Make sense?

I offer a drop-in rate of $40 per day for 10 hours or
$5 per hour for less than 8 hours BUT
I have a minimum of 4 hours paid whether or not they stay here for the full four hours or not.
In other words they would pay $20 for one, two, three or four hours of drop-in childcare. It just wouldn't be worth it to me to watch a kid for 2 hours unless I was getting paid the way I do.

I have one family that uses me for drop in care. I charge $5/hr for up to 4 hours of care and anything more than that is my full day rate of $40/day.

I have an $3/hour for an hourly rate, but it only counts for up to 3 hours. For 4 hours, I charge $15. Anything over 4 hours, I charge $30 for a full day.

I am charging weekly rates for full-time (up to 45 hrs) and part-time care (up to 27 hrs).

I do offer drop in care for full day ($50) or half day ($30).

The only hourly fee that I have set is for before/after school or if they need additional hours beyond the weekly maximum allowed. That is set at $4.50/hr.

The more time they spend here and the more convenient it is for me, the cheaper it is for them. Mind you, I haven't actually opened yet but this is what I'm aiming for. I also have to figure out what I'm doing for half-day drop in care hours. It will likely be similar to BC's because I don't think I want anyone arriving/leaving during lunch or nap time.
