does anyone provide bouncer seats for every child or do you keep a certain number and change out.. i have a family that likes to bring theirs everyday to ensure their child has one and i feel bad, but they are part time and i dont want to buy one for him only.. in the future i think i will start charging a enrollment fee that can go for things like that if needed.

I phased ALL infant equipment out a while ago.

The only infant equipment I use now besides a high chair and a PNP is the floor.

I provide the take and toss cups, love them! You can write their name right on them. They have lids and I just use regular straws.

I provide everything, I'd rather use one tube of cream and one pack of wipes instead of several. The only thing parents bring is a change of clothing, formula if they don't like mine, and diapers. I also don't charge extra.

I love these too. They're so cheap and last a while. I used to buy the more expensive Nuby cups with the spill proof clear rubbery tops but then I got one DCK that chewed through 9 out of 14 of my cups before I found out which one of the DCK's was doing it and I finally just bought the toss and go cups instead of the replacement caps. Never went back .

I love writing the kids names on the lids with wet-erase marker and then just tossing them in the dishwasher. If I lose one or a few, no biggie.

I hear ya!

Side note: the Bumbo chair has been recalled. Too many people putting the baby in it and leaving it on the table or the counter....ya know, cuz we all leave babies unattended so now no one can use Bumbo chairs unless you have it retro fitted with some sort of strap or safety thing...not sure...for me it was just easier to not use any baby equipment.

Here is the link though in case you are interested in reading it or sharing it with your daycare parents. http://www.recall.bumbousa.com/

The bumbo chair had a big recall a few months ago. I think babies were tipping over in it.

I do like bouncy seats.

Due to something I wrote that is controversial , I Signed out to hide my identity, but I am a fairly new but regular user.

[x] bottles I will provide but no one has opted for this yet
[] Pacifiers
[x] Sippy cups I don't assign them , because they get washed, and only 1 child uses the same cup all day.
[] regular (assigned) cups
[x] Plates/bowls
[x] Utinsils (forks, spoons, sporks)
[] Infant formula no, because I am a lactavist and i actually advocate for using donor breast milk over formula and will gladly donate my own if ever needed. I had a baby I wet nursed occasionally to give the comfort she needed and donated to her by bottle (until mom got her own donor milk from other donors) because mom wasn't making enough. Her mother asked first and so it was a mutual agreement. Fyi: I don't ever advertise this and would never do this unless asked first&was willing. We just happen to meet first through the LLL group and had very similar strong beliefs about this. She's now on formula and donor milk by bottle. I do allow formula to be brought from home though and currently have an infant who has always been on formula.
[x] Baby cereal/baby food (under a year) . I beleive in baby led weaning/solids (no purees) so I discourage puree foods unless the parent is open to me still teaching the (older) infant how to self feed at the same time. Puree foods are allowed though.
[x] Regular meals/snacks for children over 1 year
[x] Back up clothes (bought by you, donated to your program, or lost n' found)
[x] General medicines (Tyonal, Benedryl, baby ibeprophen... but don't administer without written permission) In my policies it says I do NOT give meds. But I already have these on hand in case of emergency because I have my own kids. However, I'm into more natural approaches and my kids rarely get sick to begin with so any meds I have always end up expiring before they ever get used. I have a strict illness policy . I do keep a first aid kit on hand .
[x] Diapers I have always offered cloth diapers for the early infant stage to help them save since they go through so many in the younger months, and I have a stash my son outgrew. But I've only had 2 clients into cloth, in 4 yrs time.
[] Pull-ups
[x] Wipes disposable, for those wearing disposable diapers
[x] Diaper creams/ointments/ powder I will provide but no one has opted for this yet
[x] Potty training seat
[x] Training potty
[x] Sunblock with permission or they can bring their own
[x] Car seat (if you transport) bought new last month!
[x] Booster car seat (if you transport)
[x] High chair/baby feeding chair
[x] Stollers
[x] Nap mats/cots
[x] Personal blankets (for nap)
[] Personal pillows (for nap)
[x] Curriculum/ lesson plans

I supply all of that except diapers, wipes (we use washcloths), pullups and half and half on the extra set of clothing. I have a lot, and parents often bring one or two outfits depending on age.

[x] Back up clothes (bought by you, donated to your program, or lost n' found) I expect them to keep a full change of clothes here, but I always need back-ups for those who forget or go through an unexpected amount of clothing.

[x] Diapers I will provide at a cost of 50c per diaper

Wanna be my best friend? I donated about 5 gallons of milk when we found out my twins had a dairy allergy and couldn't use any of my already pumped milk.

I provide bouncy "seats" and "jumpers" along with walkers....etc. When I do not have infants in care...I just store it until the next one unless there is a recall, then I toss and replace.

Copy and paste the list (or use the quote button and delete quoting text and top question and these instructions). Put X if you do and 0 if it's because you don't provide a service related to that item- you can leave the rest that you don't supply blank
I provide blankets but not specific per child - they get whatever is clean that day

I'm just wondering what some providers provide for their daycare kids as back ups or in general. I was bored this morning- If you look at some of my other threads I usually just ask random daycare business related question.

At a home daycare I used to work at, there where two moms who both had their second babies at the same time and I guess one of the moms couldn't produce enough milk. So the other mom donated some of her break milk and everyday would give the provider enough milk for both her baby and the other baby.

I supply everything except for diapers and formula. Its so much easier. This way I don't get diaper bags, dirty bottles, expired food and smelly clothes. I use the same sunscreen on all of them, so this way I know its not expired and its ment for babies, the clothes I have spare, but its rare I have to use them unless they are potty training.

Each child has one of these in an individual colour and I was able to find each colour of cup, plate, bowl and utensils so everything is organised that way.

I have a blanket permission to administer Tylenol prior to calling the parent to pick up if needed and, as such I keep one bottle of chewable here rather than have 5 individual bottles. The same with wipes. I provide because I like a certain brand and I don't want 5 plastic tubs.

Here is the link though in case you are interested in reading it or sharing it with your daycare parents. http://www.recall.bumbousa.com/
I can't have them here anyway ... no bumbo chairs, bouncy infant chairs, walkers, bounceroos, excersaucers etc. Nothing that you have to strap the child in or that the the child can't get in and out of on their own other than a baby swing. Leave it to one person to mess it up for the rest of us .

No, I mostly use G-diapers & their disposable inserts are VERY cheap. I used these for my last son, and now have a stash of 24 covers. I only have 1 in diapers right now, though. I can FLUSH the poop with the liner, so there is zero smell.
