I suffered from "all day" sickness with both of my pregnancies but was only doing child care for the second. I set it up so we had a lot of free play (and I could sit and watch from the chair) I read a lot of books with kids snuggled by me, etc. and I always kept the kitchen sink clean *just in case*
I was on Zofran for the first 1/2 of both pregnancies and that helped stop the vomiting (I still felt awful though until I was well into the second trimester )

Oh, and as soon as dinner was over, I made myself go up to bed and left husband to handle older daughter and her bedtime.

Hope you feel better soon and Congratulations!!!

My only advice is to be VERY SURE you are well hydrated. Maven teetering a little in dehydration makes you more nauseated..l can cause uti issues.. And pre term labor.

So water water water..l and eat very small frequent bland meals like toast, crackers, etc... And when you aren't nauseated be sure you eat something besides toast and crackers.

Other than that, yep, lots of free play.... LOTS lol

My sympathies! I was sick in my pregnancies for the whole 9 months - all day "morning" sickness. My husband nick-named me "meaty puke in sink"....

I don't have any advice for you - as I never really found anything to relieve my symptoms, but I do know how miserable you are feeling!!

Maxeran, diclectin, gravol, zofran, Zantac...

Lots of rest and water. Being tired makes you more nauseous and dehydration can be a serious problem. I was hospitalized for dehydration with both pregnancies as I couldn't even keep water down Eat what appeals to you.

Try taking your multivitamin at night. If you are really bad and vomit it back up immediately anyway your doctor may recommend not taking it at all for a while to see if that helps. Please check first though.

I ended up having to close my daycare as I was so sick but while I was open lots of free play and I even had some movies on which I never normally do.

Good luck and congrats!

Zofran is your friend! If you're really sick ALL day, especially if you're having trouble keeping food down or staying hydrated, see your Dr. Seriously, this stuff works wonders. I lost 14 pounds in the beginning of my pregnancy. I was so sick I couldn't even keep down sips of water and saltines, and I had to start changing diapers in the bathroom by the toilet so that I could throw up each time. I started taking Zofran and was able to eat and get through the day again.

In the mean time, try Gatorade and as much fresh air as you can get. If you can't get that, then stand in front of a fan or the AC. It helps!
