This is a game right?

I don't know what to say, but I am laughing very much during my reading of this thread.

I guess I would have to say..

I am a strict vegan, but secretly would love to just steal a piece of pizza every now and then.....that stuff smells sooo good..

Don't judge me but...my mom is temporarily my assistant, just until school is out because managing six kids to and from the bus stop sounds exhausting. Right now she's up in the kitchen supervising some coloring (in coloring books) and holding my wee tiny dcbaby. And I'm "working" downstairs, surfing the 'net and loving every minute of it.

Also,

Don't judge me, but I like coloring books. They're easy sometimes, and will keep my kiddos occupied longer than drawing on plain paper.

Don't judge me but....
This week has really worn me out. So, I think tomorrow we'll just watch movies and color....close the playrrom door and just keep it to a bin or two of toys.

I have a good one....

Don't judge me but I had a tough DCF. 2 kids, both total terrors. They went from 4 to 5 days a week and changed hours. Her new price included the later pickup and I didn't realize it until a couple weeks later, but I was overcharging $50/week No, I never told her and gladly pocketed the extra $50 every week and considered it a difficult child fee.

But I did eventually offer her an early pickup incentive that got them picked up even earlier for $25 off per week

Sometimes its a blessing not to publicize your rates

Don't judge me... but I often serve tofu and call it "chicken" - my DCKs have NO idea. I had one super picky DCB years ago who always told mom I make the best chicken ever. I also cook with ground round a fair bit and not one kid knows the difference between it and ground beef!

Don't judge me... but I give the kiddos rags to dust the baseboards and shelves.

Don't judge me... but sometimes when hubby and I are out with a large group of our DC kiddos and people ask "Are they all yours?" with big bulging eyes we nod and smile.

Don't judge me... but I let my kiddos listen to Lady Gaga and Prince.

Don't judge me... but I sometimes let the kiddos give me new "tattoos" with markers

Don't judge me... but I am one of thew MOST judgemental people I know!

'Nother one lol.... don't judge me but-when I start to feel particularly frazzled or frustrated I play Don't Stop Believin' by Journey and I sing along at the top of my lungs...it really picks my mood up. My nephew/dck is very musically inclined and at 2 1/2 knows all the words ad sings with me while everyone els dances.

Don't judge me.....my dck's are eating a junky lunch, including snack pack puddings! Then they'll have sugary Popsicles after playing in the sprinkler.

Also, they go around singing, "Keep on rockin in the free world!" Oops.

Don' judge me, but....
..I took dcb to school 5 minutes earlier than usual this morning. He's a good kid, but was extra hyper today and I just couldn't deal wiith it anymore.

....3 yo dcg and 4 yo dd are sitting at the computer, watching Tinkerbell on Netflix.

....6 yo ds is watching a documentary on natural disasters for "school."

... And I have no idea what we are going to eat for lunch!

Don't judge me, but ...

My mom dropped off McDonalds (a very RARE treat) lunch for my own DD and DS, they didn't eat all of it before going down for nap, so I just finished it off for the, even though I said I would save it for later :\

I fake text parents to tell them of their child's misbehavior while child is watching me. They are so good the rest of the day.

I just wrote this in another thread, but my 10 year old daughter has been so mouthy lately that she has really been working my nerves! She is supposed to be grounded for the whole weekend (long story) and wasn't supposed to go anywhere but, my mom is in town so I'm letting her go to her house for the weekend. I love her, but man, I need a little break

Also, the 9 month old that I have barely ever stops crying and I don't know how much longer I can take care of him so I have been letting him nap all day today. Needless to say, today is definitely a beer or two or three...day! (after the kids leave of course)

Haha. When I was younger and babysat, I watched a little boy who loved Superman. So if he wasn't listening, I would "call Superman" and have a very intense conversation with him about this little boy's behavior. Worked like a charm

Don't judge me, but....

Even though I adore your child......it's like fingernails on a chalkboard when you tell your child he/she will "get" to spend the night with me just because you can't get them to leave with you. At that time of day......I am done!

Don't judge me but... I totally peed my pants today while sitting outside with the kiddos filling the bubble machine.

Don't judge me

I had a very picky eater and made hamburgers for lunch. I made it look like I was taking his burger out of a McDonald's bag I had from breakfast. He gobbled it right up!

I don't always take the kids outside on nice days because quite frankly, it's a lot of work getting everyone ready and there's some days where I just don't feel like it.

I have started having the older kids lay on their cots 20 minutes early and let them watch Calliou before nap time.

The amount of work it takes to get the kids outside, is my main reason for hating it. I am NOT an outside person by nature. So I do take the kids outside every day that it is nice, but I am pretty liberal with what weather makes going outside impossible.

The McDonald's bag is great!!! Hahaha

And I too do not go out every nice day! I do for most of them but I don't like the heat! During the warmer days I'm a happy girl if it rains

...we spent nearly all day outside free playing even though the daily sheets (for the 2 that get them) said "we had lots of fun getting creative and messy during art" Dirt messes are art right? Can you tell I pre-filled them out last week? Oh well the rain returns tomorrow and I wanted to enjoy the 75 degree weather!

...I let DD play in the tub for nearly 45mins tonight while I sat on the toilet (as in using it as a chair, not going to the bathroom! ) next to the tub with my laptop scanning amazon, reading a few blogs, and checking the forums/websites I frequent I even added some warm water when it started to get cold

Don't judge me, but....

When you carry your 4-5 year old in my house I try very hard not to cringe on the outside....but I am cringing HUGE on the inside!

When your 3-5 year old lays on the ground and puts his/her feet in the air for you to take them off.....I will not hide it....I will tell that child they can take their own shoes off. If at this point you say that you are a gentleman and will take off your daughters shoes for her.....I will try very hard not to throw up. No promises.

I would have responded "but her teachers won't, her boyfriends won't and her husband won't."

Being a gentleman is teaching your child to be an independent young lady.

She just laughed and said to give them something else to eat for snack instead of using milk as one of the components. Gracias, food lady. You are very gracious.

Who can drink that stuff really? Gak, all my dck, dd, ds, and dh will gag and sputter if i give them 1% .

So..........dont judge me but....I buy one gallon of 1% milk, pour it out, scrub the date off the jug and then pour 2% milk in the jug. Last time the food lady was here, one of my children had thrown the jug out so I brought all the cups to the fridge (its one with the double top doors) lined the cups up along the bottom and filled them and stuck the milk back in the fridge without her ever checking.....

I have nick names for the children that i only use between myself and husband. (big head, alein, etc.)

I file an extention for taxes EVERY year

My husband calls me 20 times a day and i cringe when the phone rings, bc it is always to ask me something to do for him or just sit and talk about nothing while i am super busy.....err

Don't judge me but I just ate a gazillion pretzels with beer cheese dip. So much for my diet... But it was sooooo good!

BTW, we made the switch to 1% milk several years ago and I can't drink 2% now. We did it gradually: 1 part 1% to 3 parts 2% for a week, then half and half for a week, then 3 parts 1% to 1 part 2% for a week, then all 1%.

Oh another one - don't judge me but last week I cleaned out 4 cabinets instead of writing lesson plans, and tonight I've spent the whole night on FB and here instead of writing lesson plans.

I am the opposite. The children play so much better outside, for whatever reason, so I'll take them outside every.single.day twice a day unless it's pouring rain. If it's sprinkling with no thunder or lightning, all 8 are still going out baby.
Don't judge me but I will sometimes "not hear" the alarm set on my phone to go back in and we'll extend our outside time by 20 or so minutes. Sometimes this delays other activities.

I used to feel the same way until I read this blog post from Teacher Tom. Now I celebrate children's scratches and scrapes with them and tell the parents that I'd rather have the children take small risks and learn from little owies now, instead of taking big risks and getting bigger owies when they're older. So far they've all agreed.

Last year I kept my butterflies too long and some died.......so I took the butterfly house outside and kind of flung them out one by one trying to make it look like they were flying. The kids kept looking up and didn't realize they plopped to the ground. Poor kids kept searching. When they weren't looking I scooped them up and threw them over the fence.

I have a dcb who is supposed to go on the potty every 30 minutes and his parents even brought a timer so he knows when to go, but he needs help to pull his pants up and down and taking him every 30 minutes is not feasible sometimes, but I do try. Well, the other day when it was around pick up time, the timer went off, but I was busy with pick ups so I reset the timer so that it would go off after his parents would leave so that way they would hear the timer ticking and think that he just went.

There is a recipe on Pinterest for a homemade syrup that tastes just like Hershey's syrup. DCG loves chocolate milk, but I usually use Ovaltine. I tried out a batch of the homemade syrup, and it is really good!! The entire squeeze bottle of homemade syrup is almost gone because every time I can sneak to the fridge, I squirt a little in my mouth.

DCG has had plain milk all week because I was "out of chocolate".

....I would do breakfast and lunch outside in summer and utilize all paper products just so I didn't have to vacuum or do dishes afterward

....I let children under 3 play with my kids' toys, lol Yes they are supervised and yes, sometimes, they come back with fake nails, lipstick and crazy beads on them during dress up. YES I photograph them and send to the parents

....I will video tape kids acting the fool on my phone and tell them I have texted "evidence" to their parents of their misbehavior.

....I will let the kids nap as long as they want during winter months

....I never (unless special occasions) send these kids home clean and never change their clothes (only wipe faces/hands or change diapers). My parents do not like laundry, I hate laundry, so it's better to just let them have a little spaghetti sauce on their shirts

....In spring, we stay outside ALL day and do ALL activities outdoors no matter what.
....I've also called my food lady to tell her I was closed when I don't feel like cooking!

Don't judge me but.....

When we played outside in the afternoon I realized I did not put bug spray on my one girl whose mom always points out every mosquito bite as if I am to blame. I quickly got the spray and squirted her down so her mom could smell it was on her.....although we had already been playing protection-free for 1/2 hour.

Parents drive us to these extremes!
