Question for Tom: Are costs of treating bed bugs (yikes!) brought in by one of the daycare children 100% deductible? Which category would I claim the expense on?

If you can show that the bed bugs were brought in by the day care children you can deduct 100% of the cost. Otherwise, use your time-space percentage. Enter this expense under Other Expenses (Schedule C). Call them cleaning.
