I pretty much enjoy every season as each has it's positives and negatives and I love that when one season starts to grow weary, another is around the corner so we don't get burnt out on just one season.... but I will admit summer is much more laid back, easier and less stress.... easier to enjoy for sure!

Water Play Fridays! The kids love playing in the water. We talk about the sea animals floating by and have a grand time. They get super tired and take epic naps! What could be better, especially on a Friday?!

My fave thing is that I have the summer off. I had a client pull unexpectedly and the rest of my families are all teachers. So excited!!

I have dropped down to only three kids on Mondays this year (how many fit in my car), so we can go on more field trips. Today was our first summer field trip--a hike followed by a few hours on a little local river beach. We're doing several of those, and three plays by a great children's theater. Love Mondays!

My garden is small--just 2 raised beds. My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning, checking for new growth, and watering.

I'm totally jealous of your Fridays!

Watching my kids play in the pool, ride bikes, make chalk art with the neighbor kids. Its only our 2nd summer in this house - I think back to when all 5 of us lived in a 2 bdrm apartment...life is soooo much easier now. The apartment was a 3rd story walk up and I used to carry their bikes/scooters/chalk/balls up and down those stairs...now I just open the garage!

Lots of DCKs go on a few days of vacation here or there so I typically am down a kid or two, so it is a little quiet.

Late night walks along the river with my puppy

Sitting on the porch with DH and sipping beer or silly cocktails we create.

Sundresses - I love 'em! So comfy!

No holidays! October 31st - Jan1st feels like a stressful marathon to me. I try to do things like buy Christmas presents year round so there is less to do, but there are just so many events, obligations, projects etc. I love July- Sept. Not much happening. No presents to buy. No fily birthdays (expect mine lol).
