Anyone want to play??

There was talk of this board needing to "lighten up" and while I think we are all pretty light, this could still be fun.

So here we go,

Don't judge me but, I had 4 cookies this morning because I was in a crappy mood and needed something not good for me! And when the dcks asked if they could have cookies to, I said they were my special cookies...and gave them carrots.

You?

Don't judge me but I cut Circle Time in half because my cervix was hurting (too much walking this morning!) and I wanted to relax instead of be up/down/up/down/up/down.

Ummmmm....I'm gonna tell!!! LOL

Oh shoot, I can't do that!!! I had a Snickers I found in my Mother's Day gifts I'd forgotten about and once I laid eyes on it, there was no turning back. I didn't let my kids see me with it though...

I've totally done that

The weird (but good) thing is my dcks prefer the carrots.

Don't judge me but....Almost everyday either at lunch or nap I sit down and eat a Swiss Cake Roll and drink some Coke! If the older kids see me, I tell them that it's my special food. They usually don't say anything because I have a child who has a gluten and dairy free diet so they are used to me saying the words "special food".

Don't judge me but... I dumped all the left over coffee out (after I had some of course) just to annoy DH. He hates making/waiting for it to be done and really p!$$ED me off this morning (we had a HUGE fight). I also fed the lunch I made him to the DCKs as snack so now he has to make his own boo hoo. Petty and low but I felt better

Don't judge me. But, I have an overweight four yr old dcg... I am supposed to limit and measure what she eats, but I never measure or weigh her food. Partly because the kids ask me why, and partly because it's too much trouble.

Don't judge me but....

I let my 3 1/2 year old, non napping dd watch a full length movie yesterday during nap so I could mop and sweep my whole upstairs in peace (and dust!). I never let her watch that much TV during nap, and I almost felt guilty--almost never made it to completely.

Don't judge me, but.....
I had a chocolate craving. Only thing in the house that is remotely close is cocoa powder, so I made some no bake cookies. You know the ones with the pb, oats, cocoa, etc. You boil and mix and place on some wax paper to harden. Well, I just waited for them to cool down enough to grab a few spoonfuls. Put the rest in a container in the downstairs freezer so my kids won't find it and I can have more later.

I told the dcp's that I had to fence in an area of my yard per licensing, but the truth is, the kids pick my darn veggies out of my garden, stomp in my hardscaped raised beds and pick my flowers and I was sick of shooing them out of it. They have their own garden!

Don't judge me, but I pretend (to the parents) that I am SO busy during naptime. I use this as an excuse for not letting their kids have no nap or a shortened nap. Truth is, I really need the time off!

don't judge me... but If Im in need of a sweet or a "goodie" I'll look in the kids lunch bags to see if there is anything satisfying.. and extra cookie, some rice chips, or teddy grahams.

don't judge me... but I put the kids down for an early nap today so I could lay on the couch. 25 minutes seemed like too long to wait for my sceduled nap time.

don't judge me... but I tell parents I'm too busy plnnning/prepping for the afternoon/cleaning to respond to unecessary phone/texts at nap/quiet time. When actually I just don't want to talk about how the kids morning went or how terrible the parents morning was...while I'm trying to relax and re group for the afternoon.

Don't judge me... but hubby and I sometimes makeout at nap time!

Don't judge me... but I eat goodies in front of the kiddos all the time and tell them it's "medicine" - even though I know I'm not fooling anyone. One of my former DCKs used to go around saying "I love medicine!" all day long

Don't judge me... but if I'm really tired and had a very long day and just don't want to deal with a kid's parent, I will tell the parent the kid had a great day even though they didn't.

Don't judge me... but there are times that a curse (or 10) sneaks out!

Don't judge me... but I like to ask the kiddos questions about what goes on at home (though, I know that kids like to tell strories ). I once asked a little girl what her mom does (as in for a living) and she replied "Oh, she eats cake and smokes"!

don't judge me but I'm "cleaning the kitchen" this morning. The kids are ten feet away in the playroom, but they can't necessarily see what I'm doing, though I know what they are doing (being kitties right now).

Yeah I'm not doing much cleaning...I'm on the laptop instead.

Well I've done some cleaning. Loaded the dishwasher, got breakfast, wiped off some counters, washed the griddle, wiped the stove, cooked rice so I can make fried rice for lunch. cleaned off a cluttered surface by putting the contents in a plastic bag and putting it with some other stuff "to deal with later".

But I've also spent a lot of time veging on the computer.

I just say "Oh I guess someone needs to be changed." That is if a parent or someone else is in the house. Or I might say "Sorry about the smell, I had a bad diaper right before you came."

Don't judge me... I took the kids through the side gate, just so I could 'peek' in the foreclosed house next door to see what condition the family left it in... like stepped on a big rock and used my hands to cup the window for a good view - they were my lookout. I told them the neighbors wanted me to water their plants, but they may have left them inside.

I also used my kids backdrop from her birthday party to take fun photo's of the DCK's to practice my photography skills.

Did a physical happy dance when I received the text that my PITA pie DCK will be picked up 2 hours early for a Dr. appointment

My aching, pregnant lady feet make my trips to the store SO brief that I don't even read things. Lesson learned. Don't judge me but... I watch a dcb who is ALWAYS hungry and loves the little Gerber puffs for babies, so if there are any left on the babies trays after snack, I let him eat them (if the babies are not sick of course!)

And the same dcb loves to bring toys from home to play with at daycare.. one of the toys are play swords (WHICH I REALLY HATE!!). He always brings two so I can have a sword fight with him. Well I really don't like playing that so when he's not looking I hide the swords on top of the refrigerator until pick-up.. he always forgets about them.

The next day I forgot I had put them in there and preheated the oven for lunch. We started smelling a strange smell and yikes. We did get some new plastic divided plates and new cups after that though.

I did the same thing this morning!! I even put out some toys that would make sure to grab one particular DCG's attention, she loves to run straight to the back door (right next to kitchen) and wait for outside time (5mins after she arrives) so mom says goodbye at the back door... Not today!

I this thread!

Don't judge me but.....

I frequently have ice cream (and/or any other "sweets") + a diet dr pepper (yes, diet....as if it counterbalances the ice cream) for LUNCH. Basically my daily meals progress like this: nothing for breakfast, ice cream for lunch, big dinner, then late night "snack" that resembles a second dinner).

I pass gas and blame it on one of the kids....whichever is closest and would be the most likely culprit.

I hide massive baskets full of laundry in our master bedroom so it appears like our house is always clean.

I "iron" my wrinkled clothes (see the above reason why they're wrinkled ) by putting them in the dryer with other wet clothes.

I order way too much daycare stuff on Amazon and with my guilty conscious I wait for the delivery man and quickly un-box the items and hide them in closets before my dh gets home.

Spud, I have a crippling addiction for Thirty-one bags. I have to sneak them in and wait about two weeks to bring them out so DH won't notice.

I've done that! when I gotta have chocolate, I GOTTA have chocolate

Don't Judge me but... I am totally addicted to very sweet and chocolate-y iced coffee. When a dck asks for some I just say Sure! And make them one w/ full strength bitter coffee and ice and hand it to them with a smile. They always take one drink, make a face give it back I get to drink all the iced coffees I want and the kids just think I'm crazy!

Don't judge me but.......

If it's 5 minutes before closing and your child is still here I start asking the questions....

Who's picking you up today?
Where is your mommy?

When you finally arrive I will have my "I'm not annoyed" look on my face.

Rest assured......I AM!

Don't judge me but I spooned what was left of the kids' fruit salad from their bowls back into the serving bowl at lunch. They ate some but left a lot and fruit if expensive! I'll serve it to them again tomorrow

Don't judge me but... One of my infants woke up after an almost 2 hour nap today, but everyone else was still sleeping and I was REALLY enjoying the quiet time so I lulled him back to sleep for another 30 minutes while holding him even though he is WAY too big for that.

Don't judge me but... I brought a glass of wine with me during my dd's bath time (it's just been one of those days)

This thread made my day!!

Don't judge me but if I don't feel like cleaning up before opening in the morning (and sometimes there's dinner dishes from the night before) I bring the clipboard outside to greet parents. Usually by the time they all leave I'm awake enough to clean up so we go back inside and clean.
