WARNING: This is a vent and may be long.

Issue 1: DCB3.5 is in the midst of potty training. I asked dcm last week for pull ups if she wants me to assist him. Her response is, "Well...I just bought a big ol' box of diapers. Once they're gone, I'll bring pullups." REALLY?

Issue 2: Same DCB comes in clothes that don't fit! I've had him since he was 9 weeks old and DCM never dresses him accordingly. His pants are highwaters, his long sleeved shirts look like 3/4 sleeves and you can usually see his stomach. Today I went to pull his pants up (without a diaper on) and I ended up picking him up just by tugging them back on! Is it that hard to dress your child in loose fitting clothing or better yet, how about just some sweat pants while potty training?!~

Issue 3: Same DCM tells me that they are doing a sticker chart at home for potty training. Once DCB fills it up, he gets a new toy. I don't know how many times I told her I don't do rewards here. She asked me Monday if DCB went potty and if he got stickers. I told her if she wants dcb to add stickers to his chart either I can tell her how many times he went here or she can supply them.

Issue 4: Same DCF showed up late to pick up last night. Granted we were in the middle of a blizzard but everyone else managed to leave work a little early or picked up early. Yet she works 4 blocks away and it took 21 minutes to get here? THEN, DCM and grandma work at the same place and drive together. Granny proceeds to brush her vehicle off right in the driveway my husband JUST got done snow blowing! Talk about rude!!!

BUT...

Believe it or not, dcb (9months) I posted about previously is napping like a champ! Woke up 1 time, cried for 10 minutes and back to sleep. GREAT ADVICE NAN!!!

Yikes, sounds like a difficult family. What I would do with issues #1-3 is type up a potty training sheet for them. Give them all of your policies in writing and stop their nonsense! Just tell her when she is ready for you to assist with PT these are the things you will require, pullups, clothes that are loose fitting and/or the correct size, etc...Decide what you want to do as far as the sticker chart and put that in writing too. I have seen some really great PT policies on this forum! Maybe do a search for those and incorporate some of those ideas too!

They've been with me for 3.5 years. They know my PT policies and they have a copy of my handbook. It's right in there. So is the part about not doing rewards.

And I don't do PT sheets or daily reports of any kind. They know that too.

Maybe print off your policies again and highlight them. JUST to make sure.
