Sleeping in. LOL! We ended up with another snow day so ours is moved to Monday. We don't do a whole lot. Just a small party. They will all wear red. I bought small metal boxes for $1 each at Target and they will decorate them with foam stickers and then we will exchange Valentines. They will make a card for their parents, and I bought cookies for a snack. Lunch will be heart shaped pb&j sandwiches.

Nothing The only DCKs here today are 2 and under, so we aren't doing anything other than having a heart shaped cookie at snack.

We passed out our valentines this morning and had a bit of a dance party. Then before lunch we watched a movie for a special treat. We will have treats that they brought in for snack. Oh, and it was pajama day!

We started the day with circle, and a special book about Valentine's Day. Everyone also wore red, and I bought little plastic heart necklaces for everyone. Then, the kids helped peel and break crayons to make that crayon craft someone posted on here the other day. Next, we decorated large envelopes, and they passed out their valentines. We also had a dance party since the kids were bursting with energy. For lunch, we had heart shaped sandwiches, strawberries, and a cookie. That's it...I'm exhausted. We'll see how well they nap after all the excitement!

We had heart shaped waffles for breakfast and heart shaped quesadillas for lunch.

They made valentines for their parents (jewels, pom poms and glitter glue on construction paper).

They sorted candy hearts onto some color papers I made (they loved this and went through nearly the entire bag! I am sending a little kit home with each of them, too).

They decorated paper bags with foam stickers, and they will pass out their valentines after snack.

A mom brought in some (mini) cupcakes for everyone, so that will be their treat for snack.

Oh, and they made red noodle necklaces.

Sounds terrible, but we're not celebrating. The babies don't know or care and the SAs will have lots of junk at school today.

Today was my second V-Day party of the week since I have a M-W group (so we had a party Wednesday) and a Th-F group.

Heart shaped pancakes
Heart shaped watermelon
Envelope decorating and valentine exchange
Heart stamping using paper towel tubes bent into heart shapes
Valentine's Day crowns
Sticky paper mural (a big heart out of contact paper that I put on the window and they all stuck tissue paper to)
Valentine's Day sensory table
Valentine's Day books
Handprint craft

It's the busiest week I've had yet. And everyone is napping hard!

We made truffles, colored our heart pics, handed out our goody bags, ate heart shaped pizza. Now its nap time and the littles are sleeping!

We did it yesterday. We decorated mini cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles. We did heart stamping with kitchen towel rolls and red paint. The littlest ones did fingerprinting over hearts I had drawn with white crayons. We had an indoor picnic for lunch and lots of strawberries. Treat bags had stickers, bubbles, stamps, red, pink, and white PlayDoh and candy or teddy Graham's depending on age. We gave out valentines. I have a small group though. I made one of the LOVE crafts on canvas using the kids footprints to make the V in red and the rest of the letters in black.
