Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Yeah...He's NOT Sick!!!

Ughhhhhh, I am so angry right now. Dcb had the worst runny nose I've ever seen in a child all day yesterday with snot running down his arm and all over everything. I told mom I believed it to just be allergies and that he should have something to dry him up before he came today. She brought him without anything and then I told her I could not allow him here like he was yesterday. She said she only had 5.00 and anything she could get would be more than that so she took him some place else. I was tempted to keep him because I had made plans to take him and another boy garage saling with me, but I bit my tongue and let her take him.

He has also been coughing but I just figured the cough was due to sinus drainage and wasn't too worried about it. This morning though, dcm told me he only coughs when he's at my house and that he JUST started coughing this morning after they got into the car to come over here. So, it sounded as though he is perfectly fine when he's not here.

Well, he has a sa sister who just arrived and when she came in and saw he wasn't here, she said "Oh yeah, dcb is sick...HE THREW UP LAST NIGHT!!!"

I am so angry that dcm tried to pull that crap on me and didn't bother to tell me, but trying to make it appear as though he is only 'sick' when he's with me.

When I saw DCM next I would say, "I hope he recovered from throwing up last night! Look forward to seeing him on Monday!"

Yeah...she came for pickup and mentioned he NEVER throws up at home, only at my house.

That was when I told her SA dcg told me he threw up last night...she didn't know what to say then, but was still trying to beat around the bush saying he's never sick at home, and STILL kept making comments about him throwing up...

Wow, she got caught in a lie and she still wouldn't own up to it. Does she really think you're stupid?

Honestly, I don't think she thinks I'm that stupid...it's just that she really is clueless. This poor mom is not all there. I feel bad for her in a way, but I really do feel she honestly believes these things.

Do you have a clear illness policy outlining specific symptoms for exclusion or are you fairly lax about it?
