I have 6 kids-all 3 and 4 year olds nap, while the two 5 year old girls rest for 30 minutes and then watch a movie in the other room.
Today, the 5 year olds ASKED to take a nap. SURE, be my guest
They are all passed out-yay for the warmer weather and being able to run them around! (Although 95 is a little too hot for my liking).

Yay! We'll be getting down for naps in a minute, as soon as my pokey eaters (and they're all pokey today, except the one who doesn't eat much) are a bit more done. Then I eat my lunch, get my nonnapping DD busy with something, and relax.

My favorite part of the day. I only have one that naps, but I love it when he's down.

All of mine nap and it's so nice. Two hours of silence! Another plus, when they wake up they are extremely happy and it's almost pick up time.

I AGREE! My 7 sleep all at once but I am still "training" the 1 yr old to stay asleep longer than 20 min. My big kids are better sleepers than the little one!

you guys are all so lucky!! I have 4 kids under 2 so most of the time its speratic. Two nap once in the morning only and the other two are 1230 to 2. Makes for a long day cause someone is always up screaming and making noise!
Today however i got three of them down altogether at 1230!! The baby is due up any minute now!! But i can handle that!

I had a 3.5th dcg come to me six months ago and she hadn't napped for over a year. I assured the parents that, with due time, all of my children learn the schedule and nap when they are suppose to.
I make naptime supremely boring; no toys, no books, no tv, no music with any words, no alternative activites. All of my children take a nice, full 3 hour nap in the afternoon and my infants would keep sleeping past the 4-hour mark if I don't wake them for feedings. I love it. I hear nothing but silence (and white noise that plays in all of my rooms) for 3 hours.
Children are extra cute when they are sleeping.....especially ones who drool, snore and sleep talk.

I finally have my almost 6 month old dck on a schedule!!! Mom can't believe how long baby sleeps!! Well, its because I don't pick up for every little noise baby makes and now it is a solid 2 hour nap 2x a day!! I pride myself in teaching little ones to nap!!

I love nap time too! ANd you know what, my son (3) seems to nap better during the week when the kids are here too. I just say to him "dcb is sleeping, and so should you. When you both wake up, we can play again!!!" Wow! He didn't nap at ALL sat or sunday last week. I was going bonkers! Monday came around, dreammmmmmmm nap!

My 3 are all under 18 mos, so 2 naps a day here! 9-10 am and 1-3 pm, everyday!

Mine used to ALL nap at the same time! For many many years! UNTIL I took my grandson! The noise terrorist!!! All 10 of mine nap. At the SAME TIME. I love it!!
