Does anybody pay for their own health care insurance? I am a single parent (to my 2 grandkids I have guardianship of. They receive Medicaid but I'm not eligivle and need to find coverage)

I have no idea what all the Obama care is all about or any other types of resources to help pay for medical expenses as well as prescriptions so I'm looking for.

In CT we have state insurance and if you have guardianship of children who qualify then you qualify too.
Does your state offer anything?

The kids qualify because that is part of our states guidelines with guardianship, but I don't qualify because of my income.

Actually, the guardianship won't be appointed until March 19, but I've had them in my care through foster care for 3 years. It's at least my understanding they would still receive the medicaid...it's what I've been told.

And if they can't get the medicaid then they won't be receiving any health care either...
