My 2010 Family Child Care Tax Workbook and Organizer will take you through all the federal tax forms for hiring an employee. One change that happened after the book came out. You now only need to withhold 5.65% of the person's salary for social security tax, not 7.65%.

You should contact your state department of labor to find out about paying state unemployment tax and purchasing workers compensation insurance.

Join me for my webinar February 28th "How to Reduce Your Taxes for 2010 and 2011". I guarantee that you will save more money on your taxes than the cost of the webinar ($25). For more info: https://www.daycare.com/news/taxes/t...d-webinar.html
