So I've had my logo (my Avatar) for as long as I've been open and even though I love it I feel like updating it. I'm revamping my daycare from top to bottom and starting with my branding so my color scheme will be different and my logo won't go with it.

I've met with two local graphic designers within my budget but I didn't really feel like their examples were that good. I did see a few websites online where you can hire someone online for an extremely inexpensive or reasonable price ($35-$100) and I'd get a high resolution colored and black and white logo image plus more. The examples look really good on the websites. They also have a really quick turnaround.

Has anyone used something like this? I don't typically purchase anything whether a service or product without a referral but I don't know anyone personally that has ever tried something like this and each website has thousands of designers so I wouldn't know where to start picking one. Maybe someone here used someone on a site like these and can show me your logo and give me the name of their designer? Crossing my fingers.

I paid an art student from https://shop.deviantart.com/ to design one for me. Granted I knew her as one of my DD's friends before she went off to art school.

There are many talented aspiring artists, there, in need of ramen cash.

I've seen this site advertised and recommended alot by others. Its a site where up and coming freelance graphic artists (actually up and coming everything not just graphic arts) can get recognized and they do it for cheap....

I use www.99designs.com and pay about $200 a design. Here are all the ones I've had made and they give you hi-resolution on most formats. http://DomainAlley.com/

This is one of the websites I was talking about. They're within my budget of $100 and most say I can have a finished product (if I don't keep asking them to change stuff) within a week. I like your logos Michael, I checked the site and I just don't have $300 to spend on a logo right now. Maybe once we actually buy a house since I'll be changing the name an theme of my daycare and I'll need a new logo again.

I guess now I'm stuck deciding on which artist to choose, there are so many. Eeny meeny miny moe?

Thanks, does fiverr.com show you samples from each designer to help you choose? With 99Designs, about 50 or more designers offer their ideas from your design needs. You rate each design offered and it gives the other designers an idea what you like visually.

I like what fiverr.com looks like. I would be interested in what you finally choose. If they are good I may use them in the future.

Yes, you can click on a designer and they have multiple images of logo's that they have created. I don't need anything complicated, just something flat. I somehow lost my original photoshop file for my logo or I'd just swap out the colors and edit my design . I don't feel like re-creating my logo from scratch all over again, my current logo took me weeks to finish until I was satisfied and I don't have the time right now.

I may just try to do the outline of the hand and "cut out" the smaller hand prints if that makes sense. I should try that and post it and see what everyone thinks.

If and when we get our settlement money from our car accident we'll have enough saved up to buy a house and once we move I'm changing my theme to a beach/ocean theme so I don't want to spend a lot just to have to change the logo again in a year or two KWIM?

Congrats on revamping. Marketing is not my strongest area but branding has really helped my business. I can't wait to hear about your journey on this revamp.

No real advice on logos I met with a local graphic designer and while the one I met with I liked, the price was beyond my budget so it will be something I invest in down the road.

Have you looked on etsy for a logo?

Some designers limit the number of sales of a logo and others will make a custom one for you. See if there is one with a style you like then message them...
