Daycare and Taxes>Did Not Save Many Receipts :(
Scout 06:15 AM 12-27-2013
My new years resolution for 2014 is to get organized. I did not save many receipts for food, etc. last year. I am not on the food program. If I bought items that I knew I was using for dc, such as nap mats, I did save them. I am worried about what I will owe but, I know some of you don't owe anything(which gives me hope) and combined DH and I still make under 45,000 for a family of 4 with 2 dependents. I know I won't know anything for certain until our taxes are done but, should I be worried that we will owe a lot IYE? Thanks!

for food- I use the standard deduction. You just need to keep track of meals served.

If you serve your meals around the same time every day and you kept attendance records you can recreate your food logs based on who you cared for on each day.

this is true! Also, If you have a spread sheet program you can keep track of your attendance & meals all on one log like i do.

I attached a portion of my attendance/meal log so you could see! Its really easy and all in one space!
