Anyone use this website? The price doesn't concern me so much, as it's for my daughter (who is my only preschooler). She's 3.5 and knows her basic's but I'm looking for something that is fun for her and easy for me (no prep work). We are considering keeping her at home for preschool. Do you think 3.5 is too young to start? At this point, I'm not starting preschool stuff, but looking for something fun for her to do besides what I do with my daycare kids (lots of play, arts and crafts, outside time, etc).

As a bonus, could I use this for future daycare kids when they get a little older (or if I ever fill my preschool spots)?

I tried it for my grandkids, but they just weren't interested in it.

we have it.....when we started using it years ago, I used to have to pay. But I enrolled as a school and over time I think they saw how many children I have using the program that I don't pay for it anymore.

My kids LOVE this program. We have 4 computers and 1 ipad..... We use it 10-15min a day. It is a privilege and the kids really look forward to it, so when it gets taken away they are not very happy.... I don't necessarily use it as a carrot over their little heads, but it does help....

I use it for all of my kids and daycare kids, they love it, they offer free subscriptions to teachers, and I know a few pretty well, and had them sign up for a teacher account and let me use the spots, that way I can have a seperate account for each child, and they can play at home, and the teacher is using it with a few of her students who are a little behind(2nd grade teacher)
I also love reading eggs, for my 4 and 5 year olds, and I purchase their subscriptions and I have a teacher account to Ixl.com for math, I don't do alot here, but I give them all their sign in info, and usually have kids do a couple lessons here throughout the week, like early in the morning when they get here, and my kids are still sleeping.

My daughter loves it. We started at 3.5 and she is now 4.5. We started at the age appropriate level, even though it was too easy for her. We stayed with that level while she mastered some computer skills. Once she was comfortable using the program, I moved her up to a higher level. She loves doing the lessons and playing the games. I think it is totally worth the money.

Did you sign up as a preschool? What did you put in the Teacher Title Certificate space?

I was not able to sign up as a school, since you need a title certificate, I emailed the company, and they said I had to have all the information, so I had a friend whos a teacher do it for me.

I signed up as a school and in the start I had to pay. BUt then about a year ago I got an email saying that I would be getting it for free. I don't recall exactly how it all came about, I just know that that is what happened.

I signed up about 3 years ago, forgive, I don't recall exactly what I did....

I've been wondering myself about it. I keep seeing the commercials on the Sprout Channel and my DS (2 1/2 years) has been saying he wants it . I looked on their website and noticed that it's $7.95 a month which is cheaper than the last time that I went to look into it, the last time I looked it said $9.95 a month so it's lower now than when I last checked and I see that it now gives you 30 days free. Maybe I can get my DH to buy it .

Well, I got the 30 day free trial. We'll see how well my DD likes it, and if I find it useful.

And MarinaVanessa, you also get 2 free months if you sign up after the free trial...and you get 3 children enrollments with every account, so if you have a small daycare (like I do) you can have each child have a their own home page.

So far, I like it. I haven 't spent much time on it yet, but I like the basic's so far. It does seem a little busy and hard to navigate, but perhaps I just need to learn my way around.

I saw that yesterday so I signed up. My 2yo DS (2 1/2 year old really) instantly liked it and all he really got to do was the tutorial that teaches you how to use the mouse . He likes earning the "tickets" and was upset when the timer (set for 30 minutes) went off.

I did email the company and ask about enrolling my other preschoolers in my daycare so we will see what they say. I already paid for the year (for $60) so hopefully they can give me a refund or at least upgrade me so that I can enroll the other kiddos. Right now I can only add 3 kids and I have 6 that I want to add.

What is a Teacher Title certificate? I have my teaching certificate from when I taught in public schools. Is that what they want?

Thanks! That worked for me, too.

I've got a couple of 4 year olds that are not going to be able to go to a formal preschool, so I'm going to use it for them to make sure they'll be ready for Kindy, at least for academics .

When I signed up, at first I paid because it was for my personal kids but when I decided to use it for the daycare kids I emailed them and they said to just put "BSN" in the blank where it says teacher title certificate... Wich is my bachelors in nursing degree... It accepted it and hasn't charged me since.

Same here. Just got in for free. I'm so excited. It seems like a fun way of learning. My DCPs and my DCKs will be excited. That's why I love this forum. We help each other be better providers with the resources we discover and the great (and sometimes, not so great, LOL) advice.

Yay... My kids love love abc mouse and I do too... They don't have a lot of printables but I get those other places... I think the whole format is awesome and I love how easy it is on the iPad... You can lock out each child under their settings to make it full screen and make it where they can't click outside of the activity they are on and get lost somewhere.

I just enrolled for my son... He LOVES it. When I open and get some DCK's in here I'll consider switching to the free preschool version.

Thanks for this thread!

You're welcome! I figured I'd give it a try. I doubt that they would check it out but if they do I am licensed in my state and that number is legit.

When I was setting up, it suggested that I could add the parent's email so that they could access or see their child's progress. I'm just wondering if this access just gives them the ability to look at their child's work or can they tinker with the lesson plans I have already set up.

I would rather they couldn't change things I have set up, but I know they would like to see what their child is doing.

Their registration number for the parents will let the child log in and work I lessons you have already set up.. It doesn't give them access to settings, but that may be because under settings I have it checked to ask for password before changing settings..
