I am new to home child care and from the research I have done it looks like a preschool program is a big selling point in my area. I mostly plan on using an emergent curriculum and planning themes based on the children's interests, but I want to have some sort of program to show parents that we are doing preschool activities.

Does anyone use Zoo-phonics? Have you purchased one of their packages? I can't tell which would be best for a home child care setting. I know they use zoo-phonics in our local school districts so I think it would be a good program to get the kids started on.

love love love this program and the kids do too.

It is very expensive and there is a lot of reading on the teachers part.

I am in CA and will be attending one of their workshops in april...

Thanks for the feedback! So did you purchase "The Preschool Kit"? I wasn't sure if I should go right for the whole big kit or try something smaller first.

so far I have spent almost $900.00 and we only really use the large lower case letter cards the most. I don't like a lot of the other things in the book that they have like the dot to dot worksheets....My DCK have no interest in doing those at all. Also I dont like the music CD that comes with it..
If I were you I would purchase the small home kit that includes the letter cards (lower case) and start with that....
