What do you and your DCK's call them? Have you heard anything really unusual?

One DCG calls them gotchies. I have never heard that before, I just call them underwear, but have heard the typical, underpants, panties, boxers (if they are boxers).

Undies/under wear/underpants

Right now i just wish my soon would'em and my daughter would change 'em.

I hate the term panties. despise it. Loathe it.

Undies/underwear across the board. Sometimes big girl/boy preceeds if they are freshly potty trained.

I usually call them undies, sometimes underwear and sometimes skivvy's (not sure where I got that from) or drawers, but most of the time just undies.

underwear, panties

While putting away clean clothes, my husband told my daughter to go put her underwear away. She freaked out, because "boys have underwear, girls have panties" according to her.

I don't care what they call them, but I wish my 2 two year old DCK's would get out of the diapers and into them

Our usually very quiet dcg 3.25, who only as sisters, saw me putting away one of the dcb's underwear and said "Are those DCB's panties?" I said "yes, but boys call them underwear". She looked at me like I was crazy, laughed her head off, and walked away

I once had a dcg who thought "panties" were plural, meaning more than one pair. So when she was referring to just one pair, she would say "panty"...as in "this panty is wet, I need another one" lol.

Basically underwear. Drawers when I'm at home.

Me too... I refuse to say the word. There are certain words and letter combinations that just rub me the wrong way... darn near to the point of rage (inside my head )

Munch is another word that's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Reading it even hurts. Typing it was hard too

My husband and I have a story going which includes all the words we hate the most...when hear a new word it gets added in...

DH is better at remembering the whole thing...

"The Moose fell while riding her quad on the crusty earth because she forgot to take the moist panties out of the washer".

Crusty and moist should be used ONLY in conjunction with delicious food. Moist cake (especially if it's gluten free...moist is an important quality!) and delicious crusty baugettes...Mmmm....

Actually gluten free bread needs a measure of moistness as well. But I digress.

I have to say, I never expected such a response. This thread is amusing me. I don't like the word panties, but I don't despise it either.
