I used forum members in the past to review and provide information on daycare products. I need three panels of 12. There is a product also for dads, so if you have husbands that are helpers, they would be needed to use and test them. The items are provided free and I want members that have been with us on the forum for a while who I can trust will take the time to use and review them for me.

Here are the three types of products which are normally sold at Targets, Toys R Us, etc.

Twelve diaper bags, a baby restraining item for the crib (keeps the baby sleeping on its back to reduce the risk of sudden death syndrome) and a high tech back pack/traveler primarily designed for dads.

Let me know if you are interested. I will contact the previous panel that included BlackCat and MarinaVanessa. Thanks!

I'm sure one of these items would be fine for you to review without using it with kids. You have a lot of expertise.

I'm interested in the restraining item. That's going to have to be a miracle product. I will be able to tell the dangers toot sweet. Also have state regs that would prohibit it even if Jesus endorsed it

We have to be careful with anything in the bed or confines.

I keep infants, and currently have a newborn, but it would be against the law for me to try it (crib restraint) on clients children.

Parents could, though.

Yes and the one you want to test. Once I get 12 for an item I will only have the other items available. So the sooner you let me know, the better.

Also, I have a mom who is expecting in June. She would be a reliable and honest source to review the restraint item, if you can't find enough providers willing to try it. Even if I had infants, if would be against regs in Alabama.

Sure,

I do not think anyone will have to write a review like an article. There maybe questions that you will need to answer or a survey type multiple choice. I did one before, here is how I had the panel answer. You can click on the NEXT button to see: https://www.daycare.com/nannyde/shoc...-safety-outlet

Most of the review will be put together by me. So this is going to be easier then you think and you get free stuff that you get to keep.

If we start getting lots of manufactures sending their products here and those that are in the panel now will really benefit. So, get on the panel while you can.

Because of those restrictions here, you may make the cut

Also, I wonder if someone here in the States with their own infant child would consider testing it.

I need 12 testers for each product so you should be good for the diaper bag.

If we can't find enough testers for the infant restraint, you may get two products.

The diaper bag may already have the 12 panelists needed but I will put you in for it anyway. Are you willing to take one of the other two products? PM me your name and address in any case.

We are close to the 36 members that are needed. I will take a more just in case someone is not available when we get the product. Also, I believe we could use a few more members for the infant restraint device. I am sending one to NannyDe even though she has no infants, I believe she could critique it with her experience.

I also have no infants, but 30+ years of experience, Michael, if you would like to send me one. I would be willing to critique it. I have similar concerns as Nanny about any restraint in a crib. Even if you don't want to send one, I would really like to see a picture and directions on how this is intended to work.

I have an update for those of you participating in our product review panel. The Men's backpack will not be one of the items so we will go with 24 members. Here are the two other products for you to view. We are deciding whether to send both items to those that had a preference for both. Infants would need to be less than 6 months. So if you have any friends that could offer information on testing it we would consider that.

How does the restraint attach to the crib mattress? Is it a sleeve like attachment, or does it need to be fastened under the mattress?
It is also hard to tell how it attaches on top. Is that velcro or snaps?

Legally I cannot do the restraint although I can see it's value as a SIDS mom. I can see how well it would have worked when my kids were attached to the apnea/bradycardia monitors. I can also see EMS transport/Tube feeding applications. Pretty nifty.

If only it had ASTM approval.

Yes, and it does look like velcro on the top connection, but it also doesn't really look like it attaches to anything on the other side. So one sided velcro? And the other question would be how it attaches to the mattress.

I have had some pretty active little people over the years who could pull off working their way out of the top of that.
Just a touch too loose and the baby could wiggle out of the top, and worm their way under the connecting band of cloth on the mattress.
