Ok Nuts

Ok nuts!! My oldest son has knee surgery the 26, he needs pins and some other work done!! He did a real good bag up job on it!! So I was going to bring in someone to watch the kids, mine included!! I have the one dkb, my 2 year old boy and then my 6 and 8 year old girls!! I wa going to bring them in to the hous all food and supplies blah blah!! And give the the earning for that day plus $40 on top so a total of $60!! I was told that it wasn't enough, not even for a teenager the said they get anywhere from 7 to 10 an hour, I was like what the heck I get $2.00 an hour, that's insane and there is no cost for them!!

Why does it cost so much for a teenager and I only get 2???

when u say u get 2 dollars an hour - that is PER kid, right?

nobody is going to work for less than minimum wage. well, some people might.

I think 8 per hour for four kids is perfectly reasonable...that's still $2 per hour per kid. I do agree with you, though, that the teenaged babysitters DO make more than we do.

I would think $8.00 to $10.00 per hour would be a good rate.

I can't get anyone to come for 2 for each child per hour , no one!! I had one tell me she would do all day on the 26 th for 250.00; minus the dkb , just mine!!

For $250, I'd take the 6 and 8 year old to the waterpark and cover the expenses out of my pay!

your hired!! That would be the easiest job right there, as both are fish!! State swimmers right there, you could take a nap!! I was thinking $8.00 for all 4 kids not $10.00 an hour for 1.

Yeah, it just is not fair! I've always worked in a center, but before I got married I did tons of babysitting on the weekends. All my families paid me $10/hr...without me even asking for that much! I was like, "I wish I could just do this!" I made great (non-taxable) money!
