I live in Maryland and so if I want to take care of five infants of mothers that I know of during the day, unlicensed, can I do so or do I have to have a license simply just to take car of five infants?

You must be licensed to care for even 1 child in MD no matter what age .
And you can only have 2 kids under 2 at a time.
