Would love to hear what everyone else uses and does- What scent does everyone use in there daycare? I tend to use Scentsy, or Yankee. I love blueberry cheesecake, and seem to scent my place according to seasons or Holidays. Spring I will put out fresh scents, same with summer, Fall I will use pumpkin and fallish type scents that I like. Christmas- Christmasy scents. Blueberry is a scent I like all year |

wash with warm soapy water rinse with clear water ( a must as soap nuetralizes bleach) then sanitize with a bleach spray, in MO it is 200 ppm and we must use test strips.. something like 1/8 to 1/4 t per quart of water. It depends on your city water. Then let air dry. Other states it is higher like 1 T per gallon.
You can not sanitize too much Lysol works for floors but remember you can not use it on mouthable surfaces ( like toys) not things that come into contact with food. ( like kitchen counters) Most children do not lick the floor. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I am like My3cents and use bleach, Lysol, Mr Clean and soap and water where and when needed. I also use Odo-ban as it smells wonderfully clean and is anti-bacterial. I also use my dishwasher for sanitizing certain things. The scents I choose are, cinnamon (mostly during the holidays) and right now I am loving the Lavendar Vanilla. I used to always go for the clean linen or something similar like fresh cotton. Anything floral makes me gag! (insert vomit emoticon here) I LOVE the smell of Mr Clean!! |

![]() I use steam mop on my floors and lysol wipes on door handles and such. Hot soapy water for toys. I never thought of using the dishwasher. I am going to try that. |

All the plastic stuff goes in the dishwasher, then sprayed with lysol disinfectant.I lay everything out on a big towel to dry. (in my state I can use stuff other than bleach if it says that it kills 99.9 % of household germs.
Lysol floor cleaner, lysol wipes for the changing table, and most surfaces. Its a constant rotation of cleaning(esp with the toys that get mouthed! and everything gets washed and sanitized on the weekend. Each state is diffrent as to the regs on sanitizing though. The dishwasher is great esp if you have a sanitize setting on it. A lot of toys are being made dw safe which is great. Debbie |

I save the wax from my scentsy and make candles out of it. The smells come back and it smells wonderful!

No, they are little cubes of wax that you melt. The holders have a low wattage lightbulb that melts the wax in the dish and it give off a scent as its heated.

![]() ![]() What I do is take a candle holder, put in a wick (bought a package a Michaels),then pour the wax in when I'm ready for a new wax cube and keep adding till its full. The smell changes as it hits the new layer of scentsy. |

I use 1/2 tsp bleach per liter of water to sanitize, as per our state guidelines. I use steam for the floors and everything non-bleachable I have a portable steam cleaner. My DS has a TON of allergies, so no clorox wipes or lysol anything as it breaks him out badly. |

Ok, scentsy question.
I used these for a while and they seemed to work at first, after reading these posts I wonder ... Once the wax melts completely do you need to replace it with a new one? Maybe that was my problem? LOL ![]() ![]() ![]() I use lysol, pinesol, bleach & water. |

I do the same. (I only included the part of your quote that we do. We don't have to use test strips.) I do like the idea of using the dishwasher for some items. I've never thought of that!

Mine melt within the first few minutes and then I will burn it for the day or 1/2 a day. I just leave it in the little dish and remelt for a couple days before changing them. Some scents last longer then others I've found.
