I saw this cool dome climber on amazon and think it would be a lot of fun for my dc and own children. Does anyone have one like this? Would you recommend it?

Thank you!

I saw that, too. Looks neat.

We use one at the playground and they love it.

There used to be one on every playground growing up but you don't see them as much anymore.

It has good reviews and is a decent price- around $200. I wonder if it's a big fall risk and if the risk is worth putting one up. There is also a helicopter teter toter that look http://www.amazon.com/Lifetime-Helic...u-rd_add_1_dps fun too!

According to my state, my children are not supposed to be on any pieces of equipment such as a dome or a see-saw/teeter-totter. Interesting, right?

Our small community was built about 6 years ago. There's a playground every other neighborhood in it, and I just so happen to live near one of the only "domes." Love it.

I have one from Wal-Mart I just bought it & spent 150.00 it's a little bit bigger than the one printed but the kids love it.. They like making forts, using it as a animal cave, and just swinging or being bats... Great Buy! Wal-Mart also has a teter totter helicopter I got it was 200.00 the kids loved that one as well!

This is another site that sells them. The prices are fairly competitive and the nicest thing is you can choose exactly the right size for your age group.

I have one and I like it because it's self-limiting. I don't help the kids on any playground equipment at all, and so the kids that are too small or don't have the physical abilities to climb the outside of the dome safely, can't. They can't get from rung to rung to get to a place where if they fall it might be dangerous (even my 3yo tornado dcb). The littles can swing underneath, and we put the parachute over top to make a fort. But, when I have bigger kids around (up to my 12yo, and possibly older kids could enjoy it too), they have alot of fun climbing it too. Mine is very similar to the pic and it's 4.5 ft high.

My dd did fall from it once (she was hanging upside down), and while she did have a nasty bruise, I don't think she could have done any serious damage. If I had dck's hanging from it though, I would be right there to catch them.

I have this one and love it. It's made out of PVC, so doesn't get hot in the sun and doesn't fade. The kids love it, and it's been everything from a fort to an igloo to a pirate ship or mountain.

That's it, I'm buying it! I've wanted one for years and I keep going back and forth...safe, not safe...I'm in the mood for some new toys today

They are going to be soooo excited when it gets here!

I have the 5x10 foot one. It's the perfect size for our needs (SA's), but if you have a lot of littles, you may want to go for a smaller one.

I have seen so many cool climb-on toys and my kids would love them! Unfortunately, I have one child who falls constantly. This dcg is just rather uncoordinated, I guess. I'm scared to death to get anything she could fall off of!

I'm wondering how other people feel who have had one of those kids who are tripping and falling constantly. What have they done about toys like these??
I just know they'd love something like this!

I have a 2 year old who is like your girl. I would still get it but make sure you have rules from the start on what is allowed and not allowed like NO PUSHING. Make sure you put something soft under it too.

Yes, I'd probably have to put something soft under it and that might help.
