I have two sets of kids, one set still takes two naps per day and the other doesn't. I have done naps at 9:00 and 1:00 forever and it has worked out great. Today Mom comes in and says " Billy didn't wake up until 8:00"

What would you do? Still put him down at 9:00? Lay him down later and let your whole day be off? Try to keep him awake until 1:00 or close to it?

Nap time is firm here. Come in late, you still go down. You might not sleep, but you go down! 9-10 and 1-3, same time every day.

I'm glad to hear your replies, that is exactly what I did but now he is suppose to be taking his 1:00 nap and he is not a happy camper.

I would suggest she "wake Billy at 6" and see how that works for a couple months, if he still isn't wanting to sleep at might "wake Billy at 5". Here everyone naps 1245-230. Period. If they aren't getting to bed early enough for the parents they need to get them up earlier. Naps are not negotiable. Lol

He is sleeping just fine at night. He goes to bed at 8:00-8:30 and sleeps all night. There is no way that she is going to wake him at 6:00 a.m.
