Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Costs of Running Daycare?
MNMum 01:31 PM 05-03-2013
Has anyone ever broken down the costs of running daycare? Like per child, per week or something? Or do you want to help me come up with a list? I have to submit my income/expenses for court next week. This is fo r determination of child support. I also have to submit tax records, but to be quite honest, I don't think the judge bothers to look at them. And those don't have breakdowns on it. I don't think they allowed to take deductions from my home or utilities last time (which is ridiculous!)

Crystal posted a simple profit/loss statement that I think you can edit yourself.

It can be found here in post #5 https://www.daycare.com/forum/showth...loss+statement

Thanks! I never really tried to figure out profit/loss - this is what I want to do so we deal with whatever comes of it. But I know I need to work on the business aspect of things.

I'm terrible with accounting. I don't bother with it until January
But I'm currently in the need to write a profit/loss statement myself
I have this to work from: http://stevenhintzcpa.com/files/Dayc...Deductions.pdf

Using the sample listed by Crystal on this post https://www.daycare.com/forum/showth...loss+statement will make it nice and simple.
I'm going to put something together in excel that looks like the above pdf, so if you arent good with computers I can send you the template and you can input your own numbers. Just PM me your email address.
