I set out to order Laminator pockets. Scotch brand, 100 packs for $13 each. Free shipping eligible. Bought two. Perfect. Then I remembered some other stuff I wanted that was already in my cart--plastic spice jars to make smelling bottles, a couple magnetic wands. And counting bears! I wanted counting bears! And tongs I wanted those too. Oh, and I might as well get a nice box of dinos since we're all interested in them...oh, $30. Okay. And then my kiddos got involved in a game with the one bean bag we have and I admitted I'm never going to make my own (got stuck on what to fill them with, I am so lame, haha) and ordered some of those.

$100 later...

but it's all for the daycare! And it's all GOOD stuff, useful in many ways and for many things, and to enhance my preschool offerings...and I'm actively trying to improve in that area...

curse you, because I just added laminator pouches to my amazon cart, and it's already over $100.

I hear ya! Amazon is gonna break me! I put over $100 in books in my cart yesterday and decided to wait to check out because I KNOW I will be adding more today!

Hey....at least you can justify it as a tax write off

It IS super fun to get to 'spend' your tax money all year round! My CPA told me to spend LOTS more this year. My dh's face looking like a combination of ( )

I'm glad I'm not the only one . We need to start a support group.

BTW those pouches are 200 for just over $20 at Sam's Club.

I <3 Amazon too!!!!! Oh man, I get so sucked into their reviews. For example, if I was in the market for a laminator, I would have blown at LEAST 2 hours reading reviews, !!

I'm so anti-credit card after we paid all our debt off. I just don't use them... BUT I do use my Amazon Visa because their rewards program is pretty significant! Especially with my spending...

I try to avoid going on Amazon, because I know I will inevitably end up spending way more money than I would like! For me, pretending it doesn't exist is the best method to use

ROFL!!

My problem is I always end up spending the most around this time of year, then we don't see the tax benefit until next year. I should wait until fall, but I never do.

That's one of the the things that made me go ahead and hit "place order"!!

Also the fact that I got a dcb back to me starting this week and since we were more or less "stable" without his check and he goes to kindy in September, I told DH that we are going to spend his money each week on things to build up my program and improve the house/yard (all with an eye to daycare/preschool). So it's totally justified.

And once I've got my program improved I will save up to replace our stove

We don't really have this problem in Canada...amazon.ca offers less and costs more. We can order some things from amazon.com, but shipping can be costly.

I totally love Amazon!!! I have prime (my mom pays for it but you can add additional people to you account) so I get free 2 day shipping too.

I need to order DD's easter toy (Chica stuffed animal) today at some point to get it by Sat at the latest but I'm afraid to log on because I know I'll be doing the same thing, adding more and more to my cart!!

Yes I am making a concerted effort to stay away from amazon this year, except for stuff I need, oh my, last year and the year before....lets just say I was able to get my income down ALOT for taxes thanks to amazon and their prime shipping, this year I'm making sure more goes to savings than amazon, but what a great company! I love that site.

I'm with you. While I don't use Amazon to order for work, I do use them to buy DVDs. I always buy them used and it seems like every week I'm buying more. I realized I had a problem when I realized that I had bought all 10 seasons of Law and Order :CI in 3 months. I need help for my addiction but Skyfall and The Hobbit are out on DVD.

Agreed! I am in love with Amazon, but curse them for making spending too much money way too easy and delighting me with daily package arrivals for a week straight!

I literally put in an order last week for $600+ in books, wooden toys, Montessori materials, and a balance bike for my 18 month DS!

But ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was good stuff!!!!

LOL, I do that all too often!!

The great thing about Amazon prime is I will just order the 1 item because I don't have to worry about spending enough to get free shipping or combining shipping charges, etc. But sometimes I start peeking around and boom, I end up placing 3-4 orders in a day, LOL!

Haha yay I'm not alone! I've gone so far as to download the Amazon app and use it to check reviews on everything! At the bookstore considering a book? Check Amazon reviews. At Target buying a coat hook? Check reviews. Buying a new brand of coffee at Costco? Check reviews. It's becoming a problem I think.

Also, does anyone else get embarrassed about how often the UPS guy stops by?
