I only have 9 1/2 hr. days as my limit!!!! Most of the time it is only 9 hrs. and that is plenty for me. I used to work 12 hr. days, for hardly any pay, it was totally not worth it!! I only made $1.00 some an hr. for each child then!

I really wish I worked 9 - 10 hrs max! In my area everyone is open from 6 am to 6 pm. So, I would never get dcks in my care if I only worked 9 - 10 hrs. I know what you mean... even with 2 full time kids and 3 part time kids .... I barely make over a $1.00 an hr

That is so sad!! I used to do this, and then moved to a larger city. I don't have parents driving an hr. each way to work each day any longer. At least now I make $2 something an hr.

10 hours a day Monday threw Friday I do NOT stay open more then 10 hours as parents do not need more time then that most parents work 8 hours with a 1 hour lunch then they have 30 minutes to get to work and 30 minutes to get to daycare there is no need for their kids to be here 11 plus hours a day.

Wow, that's a long day for you & the kids. Are all the parents working far from your home or in professions where they work 10 hr days? Just curious. . . .I know I could never provide care for that long of a period. I'd get burned out.

1 daycare kid 9.5 hrs 7-4:30. I am being very picky about hours and that's why I only have one kid now. I'm actually holding 2 far off spots now just for the wonderful hours.

No more than 10hrs a day. Most of the kids are around 8-9hrs/day. I only have 1 PT family that is here T/TH and they use the whole 10hrs.

My own 2 & 3 yr olds count in my numbers - so all day.
5 yr old and 8 yr old - M-F 10 hrs/day
6 yr old - M-F 3 hrs/day; non-school days up to 7 hrs.
6 yr old - W-F up to 9 hrs/day
6 yr old & 7 yr old - 3.5 hrs/day; non-school days up to 10-11 hrs.

Generally, my limit is 10 hrs per day.
