I have never closed for the Easter holiday in 5 years of daycare, but this year I feel like I may be the only one who doesn't!! I follow other daycares in my area on facebook and it seems like they all take Good Friday and Easter Monday as Holidays. Geez! I will be wishing I did I'm sure, since school also gets off Easter Monday this year plus the entire week before

I don't close for Easter Monday. I only close for Thanksgiving and Christmas at this point. Right now I am open 6 days a week and every other Sunday. At the end of April I will be closed every Sunday.

I do not have Good Friday listed as a Holiday, but I am taking it as a personal day, only b/c I have a baby shower out of town that Saturday, and I need the drive time.

Next year, I have decided to take all Holidays that the stock market closes for, simply b/c that is when my mom is off and we have special days with my DD, sister, and nephew.

I will be closed for Good Friday only because we are flying out to Vegas for me to run in a marathon & vacationing the following week. My policy says I reserve the right to close on all federal holidays though.

I don't take them as holidays, however this year I am taking the Monday as a vacation day only because it was the only day I could get a particular appointment I needed to make - had nothing to do with it being Easter.

I normally close Good Friday. I have smaller much quieter days on Fridays so it works better than closing on a Monday.

This year however, I am open because I am going to Las Vegas the week after Easter so I am staying open on Good Friday and closing the following week.

I'm closed Sats & Suns, so any holiday that naturally always falls on a Sun..Easter, Mother's Day..I am not paid for, but am of course, off for.

I am closed this year because we will be away. Normally I do not close though. I close most federal holidays and I always felt that Good Friday or Easter Monday (which isn't really celebrated here) would be pushing it. I wouldn't hesitate to take it as a personal day though, if I needed a break.

I close on Good Friday because my husband's work is closed for it. My current full time families also have it off, and I let my PT family know well in advance.

I'm always closed Friday - Sunday so I'll be closed for both Good Friday and Easter Sunday as usual. This year, because Easter Sunday falls the day before Patriot's Day, I'll also have Monday off. It'll be like a mini vacation!

There are a couple openly Christian providers in our area who I am SURE close for Easter though

I normally don't close for Good Friday or Easter Monday but this year I'm closed for the whole week before Easter because I will also be going to Vegas! I took Easter Monday off in case I'm afraid to get on the plane to fly home and I need an extra day to take a train or bus.

Nope! I was considering taking it off unpaid and going out of town since the boys don't have baseball that weekend (well might now with the rain out schedule added in!) but by the time I wanted to it was too late for my contractual notice. I have off Memorial Day next month!
