What's your daily uniform?
I usually wear yoga pants and a tee or athletic shorts and a tee. I'm always on the ground and like to feel comfy. Wondering if I'm too casual?

Just curious!

I wear the same as you. Yoga pants and a tshirt in the colder months and athletic shorts with built in spandex shorts underneath in the warmer months. I'll occasionally wear an athletic tank if out on a walk but when parents are present I put the tshirt back on over the top.

LuLaRoe head to toe. Leggings and the Irma top in the winter, the classic top in the summer. It's the most comfortable clothing I've ever worn.

Bib overalls or men's twill carpenter pants, with a fitted tee so I don't look like a complete slouch. Pockets, pockets, pockets: keys, phone, pen, hair ties, tissues, sometimes a bottle for the baby when we're headed outside, and always whatever weird random stuff I pick up off the floor.

Shirts with our business name, jeans and boots in winter with scrub tops that snap up, shorts with the same t-shirts and tennis shoes for summer

Summer-Khaki shorts from Old Navy and cotton tops, T's or dress casual tops I've gotten from the Loft. They wash up well, many are sleeveless and look great and are very comfortable.

Winter-jeans that are super comfy from the Gap and usually a cardigan and nicer top. All easy wash and comfy.

I think going LuLaRoe would be awesome. So comfy and looks great!

Smart, but casual. I always wear makeup and fix my hair. Pay no attention to my avatar...that's just how I FEEL most days!

I am a firm believer in being comfortable...but also dressing as a business owner.

As providers, we are often not taken seriously as real business owners.

This isn't helped if a provider opens the door in her Sponge Bob pj pants.

I know I would have a hard time if I went to the bank for a loan and the loan officer was in his work out clothes because he was most comfortable that way. Even though his clothing wouldn't change his job skills...it would be hard for me to take him seriously.

It works in reverse too. Hard for the bank manager to drop off his child at daycare and listen to his provider explain policies she wants him to follow more closely......while in her bunny slippers.

The saying "dress for success" does hold some weight!

well said.

I've managed to do this job wearing jeans/casual pants and nice tops/tees for many years. I've never had issues with being able to move freely wearing that attire.

I too believe that dressing appropriately makes all the difference.

I also believe that if someone can't go that extra mile to make themselves look presentable I'd question what other things they take short cuts with.

I used to wear yoga pants a lot but I got bored of it and wanted to try and dress better for myself but still feel comfy.

I took a minimalist approach and bought a few new comfy things that were both stylish and comfortable. Comfortable well-fitting jeans (black, dark, med, light wash), some soft loose t-shirts that look more like blouses in neutrals and near neutrals. Some of the same t-shirts but in stripes and in some other colors for pop (olive, mustard, red, pumpkin). Some cardigans in neutrals and near neutrals. Some denim shorts in all washes and some bermuda shorts (navy, khaki) and some soft pants (navy, black). I had some low heel booties in black and brown and some flats in black, white and brown and bough a pair of gray sneakers.

With all of that I'm able to mix and match to make a ton of outfits that I can totally comfortable in, have full range of motion and still feel put together. Nothing expensive either, I bought the shirts at Target for $5 when they had a sale.

Here's a pic of what I mean ... white t-shirt, olive cardigan, black or dark wash jeans and I would use brown booties or flats .. maybe even my gray sneakers.

Leggings, tunics, all black yoga pants that look like regular pants but comfy. Nice tops to pair with it. I also wear makeup everyday. Most of the time my hair is in a ponytail because I tend to sweat a lot with all the running around!

Cute outfit MV. I would ruin them with bleach. I had to stick with a simpler work style that is easily replaced.

Jeans/ jean shorts and a button up shirt. Usually a short sleeve shirt even in winter. Mainly because I hate having my forearms covered not for any "real" reason.

I'm pretty much like MV's picture too.
Except leggings instead of jeans.
My hips are too high for jeans. I look like the Saturday Night Live ad for "Mom Jeans" in them.

Bermuda shorts/blue jeans and a shirt (not a t-shirt) or a dress. Or, LulaRoe leggings and a longer tunic style shirt over.

How do you keep the shirts from getting pilly? The front of mine are pilly which is weird. I gentle cycle wash them and hang to dry.

Usually I am in yogas or leggings, with a short sleeve tee and tank in the warmer months, and LS tees or goodies come winter.

My hair is usually always in a bun, but it always looks like a mess because I have curls that don't believe in submission and escape no matter what I do. I am make-up free too. Between a baby of my own, caring for my home and other people's children I am always at the bottom of the totem pole and most days I don't have the energy to look prettier only to be spit up on and have my hair pulled.

Are they the Perfect Tees? They're the only ones of mine that have pilled. The Classics and Irmas have not. I am not sure, but my Perfect Tees have a high Rayon content (95%, I think?). I believe that Rayon is best dry cleaned, though I have cleaned mine the same way as you have. I'd bet that Dryel would be the better choice over the washing machine for those tops.

I wear a skirt (ankle length) and a nice top most days. Some times a Jean skirt and a t-shirt (especially for field trips). I think Jeans or nice khakis/pants would be fine, I just don't wear pants :P I am all for comfy, but I try to dress professional if I want to be treated like a professional.

Lularoe. I wear a skirt everyday in accordance with my religious beliefs and they have the cutest most comfortable yet conservative ones along with their tops

This is my philosophy too. I just feel better if I'm a bit pulled together. About once a month I wear a pair of exercise pants (nice quality) but by the end of the day I feel like I've been in my pajamas all day and I'm back in my other work clothes the next day.

We have a pj day around Christmas each year. I don't even make it through the day without having to change!

I've been wearing yoga pants, t-shirts, and khaki type shorts in different colors with t-shirts. I used to be really into style when I worked outside of the home, and over time between gaining weight (I have 3 kids under 6, and can't seem to lose that last 25 pounds), and being tight financially that style has become non-existent...that was until yesterday! I decided I needed to look better and feel better about how I look so I did a little shopping on Amazon. I decided to stick with loose fitting tunics and leggings for now since I'm still working to lose weight, that way they will fit even when I lose the weight...plus it's easy to just take the tunic off and put on a t-shirt to work out, then change back into the tunic rather than changing my entire outfit to workout. Hopefully these new clothes make me feel a bit more put together and cute!

I wear maxi skirts too... I will wear nice jeans, but I don't have any that haven't worn out at the knees lol. My babies love that Nana still plays on the ground with them

I wear pull on black bootcut pants every day and a nice shirt. I'm not a makeup person anyway, but I put on a coat of mascara and make sure my hair is done.

I hate PJ day! We used to have it monthly at one center and I never did it. Mainly because I walked to work, but also because most guy's pajamas just make me feel I look like a slob. That and the first pj day I walked in dressed "normally" a 4y/o told me (in front of other staff of course) how mad her mom would be because DCM told Grandma that she was looking forward to seeing Mr Dave in his pajamas.

I just bought 5 pairs of Lularoe for Fall. But I'm really picky about patterns...nothing crazy! Hearts, black, a few Mickey Mouse. I will find some long tops to wear with them that cover my bum.

Right now I wear nicer Columbia brand shorts, comfy tops (whatever that means). I tend to shop at Thrift stores, so....I take what's available! I have a huge wardrobe. It's a problem. But...everything cost me about $2.99, minus my new Lularoe

I caved and looked at the lularoe site. My eye is still twitching. It reminds me of the United Colors of Benetton back in the 80's. It is sold like avon? https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Lu...E865260_P2.htm

Jeans and tees in the summer, or jeans and sweaters/sweatshirts in the winter. I own a very limited variety of clothes, doesn't take much thinking power to start my days. No make-up. Throw a brush through my hair, and throw it into a barrette to hold it up...I'm good to go.

I'm not really sure you can equate this job's clothing requirements with a loan officer. I've never met a loan officer who would be found sitting in the sandbox with a 2 yo, getting paint/glue/food on their clothes, picking up a toddler and having them kick their muddy feet on you.....during their working hours.

Yeah, it's a MSM company. They have the craziest patterns, I agree. However....and I was a skeptic...I bought a pair of normal looking ones (they do have them, lol) and they are the most comfy things your legs will ever feel. It's amazing.

I waited a year and looked online (facebook "parties") until I finally was able to find more that I liked.

The daycare kids them. My 2 pairs of Disney ones are all the rage (1 Mickey, 1 Minnie), and I have one with little hearts that the kids love. The other two are black with a little pattern and purple with a little pattern. The kids get so excited to see which ones I'm wearing I love it!
