Weekly in advance of care for FT and PT clients. I also do drop-in care and even they have to pay me in advance when they make their "reservation". No pay, no stay.

I am going to switch to weekly starting in january. I should have just been doing that from the beginning less of a headache more of a guarentee that I am getting paid what I am worth.

I do weekly on the friday for the week. I need to change that to in advance but not sure how to tranisition my families.

I let the drop in families pay the day of before drop off and charge a flat daily rate.

I charge a weekly rate. I cant vote yet, I think because I'm new. But always have charged a flat weekly rate and they pay whether they are here or not.

Weekly. Paid on Monday morning. I love my daycare families. I've only had to ask for my check once in 4 years. Sorry. Little gloating.

Two days ago I was convinced that hourly was the best way to go for my situation, but now I'm thinking the same thing. I'm also considering switching to a weekly/monthly rate (PREPAID!) beginning at the first of the year.

I thought daily was great, I had no guarentee if I was getting paid for 1 day or 4. Weekly will ensure I am getting paid for the days they are scheduled to be here whether they are or not. Good luck Miss P. I look at my business right now as trial and error and just hope the parents will be understanding.

I charge a daily rate that becomes your weekly rate... example if your daily rate is 50 a day an you come 3x a week, then your rate will be $150.00 weekly if you are here or not....

All clients pay monthly one month in advance.

Weekly, in advance on Mondays for that week.

I let them choose weekly, bi-weekly or monthly but they have to pick one and stick with it. (If they choose monthly it is my weekly rate times 52 divided by 12 so no weeks are skipped.)

Same here, lol. I've never charged a late payment fee; I've never had to. It must be that 'Minnesota Nice' stuff.

I charge weekly as well, but parents also have the choice of biweekly, or monthly. I've yet to have one agree to yearly hahaha.

I've always had parents choose to do biweekly. They like to pay when they get paid. Works for me.

I voted Weekly but I do whatever works best for the family.

A lot of my current families pay me monthly in advance.

I have 2 that pay me weekly and I had one that paid me bi-monthly because that's how she got paid.

I wish rate changes weren't so stressful. I am wondering if I am gonna have families leave. I am just going to meet with each family with a sheet breaking down my weekly fee and showing them how cheap I really am if they have any problems, and if I can't get them to see it my way I guess I will just have to deal with it and find a new family. Its funny how $200 a week for two children coming 4-10 hr days can break down to $2.50 an hour do I think I'm worth it? yes I do.

I also charge monthly, it's what's done here. I think it also makes a lot of sense. No arguments over sick days, child being on vacation, holidays, etc. Twelve checks, exactly equal, no fuss no muss
