I have grant money to use up NOW and I'm wondering if anyone has the Carolina Line 24 or 34 inch shelves from Kaplan? They're cheaper than most of the shelves, but I'm worried that the wood is not a sealed laminate. The tall 34 inch 8-section shelf just said Birch Wood and I called and asked and the lady said she didn't have anymore details other than the back was not the same wood so it's cheaper on the back.
It makes me nervous because i want shelves but have $900 to spend and have to give my list of wishes to my grant lady tomorrow. I'm thinking I may as well go after the $500 K-System storage units instead to make sure they're a wipeable clean laminate. The lady on the phone said if I changed my mind then I would have to pay for shipping back and ummmmm yeah like a hundred pounds of shipping I don't think so. I want something that will last for decades not just a few years.
So does anyone have one? I'm ordering from Kaplan.
