I opened my dc in Jan. of 2013, but I bought everything for the dc in 2012. Can I still claim everything that I bought last year on this years taxes?

Thank you so much for answering. I have had so many questions since this is my first year filing taxes, but you guys are all having those same questions so I am just doing a lot of reading here today
