Daycare and Taxes>Pretending to Understand T/S%
Abigail 06:05 PM 02-06-2011
Ok, I'm just making this up to see if I understand this correctly or not....this really could be a college level course to understand this, lol.

If I have rooms that are 20 (steps), 40 (bathroom),50 (laundry room), 70 (bedroom), 80 (bedroom), and 240 (Exclusively used livingroom) that makes a total of 500 square feet. If I have another 500 on the upper level of the home, then 500 for the garage bringing my total to 1,500 square feet.

Exclusively used space is 240 (lower-level living room)
240/1,500=16%

Regularly used space is 1,020 (garage, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, steps, and laundry room)
1,020/1,500=68%

60 hours per week X 50 weeks=3,000 Hours Worked
3,000/8750=.34

68% X .34 = 23.12% Time/Space Regularly Used + 16% Exclusively Used = 39.12% TOTAL
Keep in mind, I'm making this up just trying to figure it all out. Feel free to give any examples.

Sounds like a question Tom needs to answer. Here are some other posts regarding Time/Space percentages:

YES! Thanks. Now I'll be ready once I move. You said we can count the stairs as space and any floor space, but not shelving units/couches/counters/etc right? Even count the closet space? This is kind of fun now that I get it!

Include any closets as part of the main room. Only count floor space, not counters, etc. If you are having fun with this, it's time to check yourself so see if you are okay........

I think reading your book is fun too! You'd be amazed how details interest me, I could be a professional rule maker.

I might be working since I have an evening job now, where will it be recorded so I can still pay and listen to it when I get home? Do I still call to sign up for the webinar if I know I can't make it and it will be saved?

If you know you can't make the February 28th date to listen to the webinar, call to register and say that you want the CD of it sent to you after the webinar is over.
