Daycare and Taxes>Yet another meal tax question :)

Forgive me I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. Last year we ended up paying and I want to be sure this year we don't miss any deductions!

I have always claimed my food program as income so no change there.
In years past I've deducted only the unclaimed snack as the breakfast, am snack and lunch were done through the food program.

Is it true that I can claim all the meals served as a deduction? If so then that means...
Breakfasts Served=1,441 x SMA $1.28= $1844.48
AM Snacks Served=1440 x SMA .71 = $1,022.40
Lunches Served=1440 x SMA $2.40 = $3,456.00
PM Snacks Served=1,438 x SMA .71 = $1,020.98

So does this mean I will have a deduction in the food category of $7,343.86??

Am I getting this right??

If these totals represent all of the meals and snacks served to day care children (not your own children) and include those that you were reimbursed by the Food Program and those that you were not reimbursed for, then they are correct.

That's exactly what it is! Thanks! Hoping not to have to pay this year and this deduction will definitely help!

Yes, these meal rates are the same for everyone who works out of their home, regardless of whether you are on the Food Program or not, or what reimbursement rate you receive from the Food Program.
